Pierre-Yves Rochon (PYR) Appoints Benoit Gelez as Managing Director, Paris

Je suis heureux de vous informer que Benoit Gelez nous a rejoint en tant que nouveau Directeur Général de PYR Paris. Benoit a plus de trois décennies d’expérience dans le domaine de l’architecture de luxe et du design d’intérieur, dont plusieurs années au sein de l’agence RDAI et du groupe Jean Paul Gaultier. Benoit connaît bien les clients et les marchés européens, ceux du Moyen-Orient, de l’Asie et des États-Unis. Il travaillera en étroite collaboration avec Amy Jakubowski, nouvelle Directrice Générale de PYR Chicago, précédemment Directrice Générale et directrice Artistique du bureau de Wilson Associates Los Angeles, ainsi qu’associée de l’agence d’architecture BBGM New-York. La nomination des deux nouveaux directeurs affirme la volonté de croissance continue de l’agence à l’international.

Benoit succède à Jean-Marie Heiderscheid, qui, après 37 ans en tant que Directeur Général de PYR Paris, prévoit de prendre sa retraite cette année. Jean-Marie a rejoint PYR en 1985, a dirigé l’agence et a participé aux projets les plus importants, Il continuera de travailler à temps partiel pour PYR Paris au cours des prochains mois, en collaborant étroitement avec Benoit pour assurer une transition en douceur pour nos clients, collaborateurs et équipes.

I’m happy to inform you that, Benoit Gelez has joined us as the new Managing Director for PYR’s Paris office. Benoit has over three decades of leadership experience in the realm of luxury architecture and interior design, including several years at the RDAI agency and the Jean Paul Gaultier Group. In addition to France, Benoit is very familiar with clients and markets across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and the U.S. He’ll be working closely with Amy Jakubowski, the new Managing Director of PYR Chicago, who was previously Managing Director and Design Director of Wilson Associates in Los Angeles and a Partner with BBGM in New-York. The appointment of both Benoit and Amy positions the agency for continued international growth.

Benoit succeeds Jean-Marie Heiderscheid, who, after 37 years as Managing Director of PYR Paris, plans to retire this year. Jean-Marie joined PYR in 1985 and has helped lead the firm through some of its most significant and successful projects. He will continue to work part-time for PYR Paris for the next few months, collaborating closely with Benoit to ensure a seamless transition for our clients, collaborators, and project teams.
