Role Summary: The International Sales Director will be responsible for all commercial activities at Maison Givenchy, overseeing both retail and wholesale distribution channels, as well as omnichannel operations with global e-commerce P&L responsibility. Reporting directly to the CEO and serving as a key member of the management committee, the International Sales Director will lead the development and execution of the commercial strategy, ensuring alignment with the brand's new creative vision and business objectives.
Job Responsibilities
Commercial Strategy Development:
Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy that aligns with Maison Givenchy's new creative direction and business goals.
Drive commercial initiatives to enhance brand presence, market share, and profitability across all regions and channels.
Omnichannel Management:
Oversee omnichannel operations, including global e-commerce, ensuring seamless integration and exceptional customer experience.
Assume full P&L responsibility for global e-commerce, driving growth and profitability.
Team Leadership and Engagement:
Lead and inspire regional directors (US, EME, Greater China, Japan) and global central sales teams, including retail excellence, training, and client development.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, recruiting and retaining top talent.
Engage and motivate teams across borders to achieve commercial objectives and deliver exceptional results.
Retail and Wholesale Management:
Oversee retail operations, ensuring excellence in customer experience and maximizing sales performance.
Manage wholesale distribution, developing strategic partnerships and optimizing channel effectiveness.
Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and mitigate risks.
Client-Centric Focus:
Elevate the client experience, placing the client at the heart of all priorities and initiatives.
Develop strategies to enhance customer engagement and satisfaction across all touchpoints.
P&L Responsibility:
Assume full P&L responsibility, driving profitability and sustainable growth for Maison Givenchy.
Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to support commercial activities and initiatives.
Sustainable Growth:
Ensure sustainable like-for-like growth in all markets, maintaining consistency and stability in performance.
Implement measures to drive long-term growth and success for the brand.
Brand Development and Innovation:
Collaborate with the creative and marketing teams to ensure commercial strategies reflect the brand's heritage and new creative direction.
Drive innovation in product offerings, customer engagement, and sales processes to elevate the brand.
Stakeholder Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and internal teams.
Represent Maison Givenchy at industry events, conferences, and meetings to promote the brand and secure strategic opportunities.
Profile
YOUR ADDED VALUE Proven experience in a senior commercial leadership role within the luxury industry, preferably in fashion. Robust track record of developing and executing successful commercial strategies. Ideally in different markets (at least EME plus another key market like US or Asia) and with a strong focus in retail. Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to recruit, engage, and inspire diverse teams. Comprehensive understanding of retail, wholesale, and omnichannel operations and distribution channels. P&L management experience with a focus on driving profitability and sustainable growth. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Strategic thinker with the ability to adapt to changing market conditions and drive innovation. Passion for luxury fashion and deep appreciation of Maison Givenchy's heritage and vision. This role could lead to a larger International Sales role in the Group or a CEO function.
