Lallemand Inc, the parent company of Lallemand Specialty Cultures, is a privately-held Canadian company, founded at the end of the 19th century, that specializes in the development, production, and marketing of yeasts and bacteria. The company is organized into 11 technically-driven business units focusing on various applications of yeast and bacteria in baking, fermented beverages, human and animal nutrition, fuel ethanol and for agricultural and pharmaceutical uses. The business unit has offices in Toulouse and a production plant in La Ferté-sous-Jouarre, East of Paris, France. With a global sales and technical support network composed of local representatives in the USA, Canada and Europe, and distributors in more than 35 countries on 6 continents, Lallemand Specialty Cultures has the ability to serve customers worldwide. The LSC team includes a dynamic group of scientific and technical experts in the fields of food science, microbiology, and biochemistry. We specialize in surface, ripening and bioprotective cultures and develop innovative solutions to meet our clients’ most relevant needs for many fermented food applications. Leveraging its 100 years of expertise in fermentation, Lallemand Specialty Cultures also provides integrated microbial fermentation services for selected proprietary cultures. At LSC, we are dedicated to delivering the highest quality cultures produced within our FSSC22000 & ISO 14001-certified facilities.
