My name is João, and I’m from Porto Alegre, in the south of Brazil, where one of Ticket Log’s offices is located—the BU I come from. After a decade working there, I moved to Lisbon in 2017 and, more recently, to Barcelona in 2023, both times as CTO. My main role is to lead the strategic vision for developing and executing technology initiatives, collaborating with all departments at Edenred Spain to drive growth and innovation, while also keeping a strong focus on risk management. What I enjoy most about my job is the opportunity to take part in team meetings where, one way or another, we find a solution to a problem or come up with a brilliant idea for a project. I’m in charge of Corporate Social Responsibility reporting on the 3 Ideal pillars (People, Planet, Progress) and in charge of the Planet pillar. 🎤 What do you like best about your job? Sustainability is still a relatively “new” field so nobody can pretend to be an expert and as a result, I work with people that have different and always interesting backgrounds. 🎤 Can you reveal something that is not on your CV? I come from a very small village in the Jura region in France and I’m very proud of my rural roots! 🎤 If you had to pick one of the 5 Edenred values which one would it be and why? As much as I thought my answer would be the travel when I took this role, in truth, its the people and amazing colleagues who I’ve been lucky enough to meet and work alongside around the group that makes my job so special and fulfilling to do. 🎤 If you had to pick one of the 5 Edenred values which one would it be and why? I have been very fortunate to be a part of many excellent teams across my career, from UK sales to now with the Global Roll Out Team. My favourite ‘vibe’ is when my colleague Ilia Draganov and I get to spend a few days with a sales team across the group and we see those ‘light-bulb’ moments and can feel that we are making an impact.

As a CISO, I deal with a bunch of stuff in information security, like security compliance, security training, business continuity, app security, handling security incidents, and managing our digital identities! 🎤 What is your motto? "True security thrives on transparency, not obscurity." 🎤 What do you like best about your job? Your missions? What I really enjoy about my job is the teamwork and the challenges. Every day, I get to work with different departments across the company to find secure solutions that also meet business needs.
