Australia’s CareFlight had recently completed 1,000 missions with their H145!  By utilising the helicopter for emergency medical services (HEMS), CareFlight can quickly respond to cases by being airborne within four minutes after being called, where severely ill or injured patients can receive hospital-level care quickly. The rapid response and critical care missions conducted by CareFlight for the community in the state of New South Wales reflects the dedication and commitment CareFlight has in saving lives - every day. In addition to HEMS, the highly versatile H145 can be deployed on parapublic roles including law enforcement, search and rescue, firefighting and aerial work. Today marks the 60th anniversary of the maiden flight of the SA330 Puma.  The SA330 Puma made its maiden flight on April 15, 1965, piloted by Jean Boulet and Roland Coffignot, assisted by flight mechanic André Ricaud and flight engineer Gérard Boutin. Developed under a Franco-British military cooperation, the helicopter quickly proved its versatility in a wide range of civil and military missions, including transport, fire support, special operations, search and rescue, casualty evacuation, and public services. Over the past six decades, the aircraft has supported military and civil operations worldwide.  Its success laid the foundation for the Super Puma family. Chosen by nearly 40 countries, more than 700 Pumas have been produced and almost 100 are still in service.  By the end of 2024, the fleet had accumulated more than 4 million flight hours. #AirbusHelicopters #SA330 #AirbusHeritage #AviationHistory

German helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS) operator DRF Stiftung Luftrettung gemeinnützige AG, flies one of the largest H145 fleets in the world, now the company has taken delivery of its 40th H145. DRF Luftrettung took delivery of the first ever four-bladed H145 in 2014 and the helicopter soon became the backbone of its operations. Impressed by its performance DRF Luftrettung then also became the first customer to upgrade a four-bladed H145 to the five-bladed version. On the last day of SOFINS 2025, Airbus Helicopters showcased its latest crewed-uncrewed teaming solution.  The system, which has been developed with the support of military customers, will enable helicopter crews to take full control of uncrewed aerial systems (UAS).
