Nous sommes à Adichats REMPART (33-Villandraut) pour le tout premier chantier de l'année en Nouvelle-Aquitaine !
Du 17 au 28 février, 8 bénévoles, des profils différents : étudiants en histoire et archéologie pour la plupart et quelques professionnels engagés pour réaliser un chantier de collection archéologique. Pierres, céramiques, verres et métaux trouvés dans les douves du château de Villandraut qui sont nettoyés, classés et répertoriés par les bénévoles avec l'objectif de rendre les résultats de recherche accessibles au grand public.
Simian, étudiant en Master Archéologie à Poitiers : "C'est mon deuxième chantier avec Adichats, je reviens car c'est très intéressant de travailler sur ma spécialité autour des céramiques retrouvées dans les douves et qui seront étudiés dans des futures recherches"
Baptiste, en année de césure : " Notre objectif est de rendre les objets archéologiques prêts pour être étudiés et en suite exposés au grand public"
Maïwenn, professionnelle de l'archéologie de l'objet métallique : "Je fais ces chantiers souvent...mais rencontrer des personnes avec différents profils c'est toujours très enrichissant et aussi une découverte à chaque fois" .

We are at Adichats REMPART (33-Villandraut) for the very first workcamp of the year for the region!
From the 17th to the 28th of February, 8 young volunteers, of different backgrounds: mostly students of history and archeology and some professional workers are engaged in a workcamp of an archeological collection. Stones, ceramics, glass and metal objects which were all found in the moat of the castle of Villandraut that are cleaned, organised and classified by the volunteers, its aim is to allow for the findings to be accessible and shown to the public.
Simian, who is a Masters student at the University of Poitiers: "It is my second workcamp here with Adichats, I returned because it's really interesting to make of use my speciality, that of ceramics which were found in the moat and that they will be studied in the future"
Baptiste, who is on a gap year from his Masters studies: "Our objective is to get these archeological objects ready to be further studied and put on expostion to the public"
Maïwenn, professional archeological worker specialised in metal objects: "I do workcamps often...I feel helpful as I am the only specialist here in metal objects...meeting these people, each with a different background is always enriching and at the same time a real discovery, each time"
