DevCo’s internship application period for 2025 is now open, so we thought that we’d ask our current intern Pietari Uusitalo to share his thoughts on the experience at DevCo so far: The internship at DevCo has far exceeded my expectations and working together with DevCo’s team has been a lot of fun. They have trusted me to take on a lot of responsibility with several new investment processes and portfolio operations, making for a very rewarding experience. I was aware of the firm prior to joining, but only after starting here I realized how unique DevCo‘s operating model is. A lot has to do with the firm’s single-asset fund structure. It enables DevCo to support the creation of globally leading businesses with significant financial and operational resources. From my perspective, this has meant looking at mature and well-established businesses as potential investments from a truly international perspective as well as working with global advisors and expert networks, which has been exciting. DevCo’s long ownership horizon also involves a lot of hands-on work which has significantly improved my commercial and strategic understanding of a business through various workshops and work with company executives. I consider DevCo an unmatched platform and I can warmly recommend applying for the internship program!
