In 1991, Siemens Gamesa took the first step in offshore wind by installing 11 turbines at Vindeby, Denmark, the world’s first offshore wind farm. 🌍 Today, we celebrate the installation of our 5,000th offshore turbine at Sofia offshore wind farm in the UK. 🎉 This milestone represents three decades of innovation, dedication, and teamwork. From pioneering early projects to scaling up the world’s largest offshore wind farms, Siemens Gamesa has been at the forefront of this revolution. It's already up! We have installed the first turbine in the Sofia wind farm in the North Sea. And it is just the beginning of a greener and more sustainable future.
