Never a bad idea to take a moment and look back to reflect on the path and what’s brought us here. Because let’s be honest: building rocket engines isn’t exactly easy.   Our CEO, Adrià Argemí, recently sat down with Rockets & Radars to talk about where we are today, the key factors that got us here, and everything we’ve had to overcome along the way.   We need to say it: we’re quite proud of the journey.   Thank you very much to Martin Majercin for creating the space to tell this story.

€11.6M project awarded by the Spanish Space Technology Programme to fully develop #ARCOS — a major step forward in the future of space #propulsion.   The MERLIn project (Efficient and Reusable Engine for International Launchers) will enable the full development of ARCOS, the world’s first flight-ready aerospike engine. Designed by Pangea, brought to life in collaboration with outstanding partners such as ITP Aero, Sener Aerospace & Defence, and AENIUM — and made possible thanks to the strong commitment to innovation from @CDTI_innovacion and Agencia Espacial Española. A powerful example of public-private collaboration, uniting some of the most innovative players in the Spanish aerospace sector to help position Europe at the forefront of space technology. A cleaner, more efficient, and reusable propulsion system set to reshape the future of European launchers.

Frédéric Parisot, délégué général du GIFAS, a présenté les principaux enjeux actuels de la filière à l’export à la lumière des évolutions géopolitiques récentes : marchés majeurs, résilience des chaînes d’approvisionnement, montée en cadence des capacités de production, financement des PME/ETI. Aux côtés de Marie Laure Gouzy, directrice France de Pangea Aerospace et de Jalil Benabdillah, vice-président de la région Occitanie, cette table ronde animée par Laurence de Touchet a permis de souligner l'excellence et le savoir-faire de l’industrie #aérospatiale française dans les territoires. Thrilled to have taken the stage at MWC Talent Arena 2025 about how technology, software, and agile methods are revolutionizing rocket engine design. At Pangea Aerospace, we show that propulsion doesn't have to take years. By leveraging specialized expertise and advanced technology, we can create various engines for different missions and offer them to the industry, so companies don't need to build their own from scratch.   This is a game changer. Imagine if every online store had to code their own e-commerce platform—it would be costly, exclusive, and time-consuming. That's similar to what's happening in space propulsion today. How polluting is a #rocket #engine, and how can we make it more sustainable? We performed a comprehensive life-cycle analysis of the Arcos #aerospike rocket engine and we want to share the key findings to inspire solutions and foster a more sustainable industry. These are the results of the “Eco-conception” project, carried out under a contract with Centre National d'Études Spatiales and in collaboration with Norimat. The goal was to understand the real environmental impact of the #Arcos rocket engine, from manufacturing to end of life, and to identify opportunities to further reduce its environmental footprint. What does #Europe need to achieve autonomous launching capabilities and build a #sustainable space industry?   "We help our customers improve their business case. We develop propulsion systems with the right performance-to-cost ratio, transforming R&D expenses into a variable cost, as our customers pay the engines as they fly—and we don't have a conflict of interest."   That was the key message from our CCO, Xavier Llairo, highlighting our contribution to fostering a competitive and autonomous future for the European #space industry.
