  • #Carbonfiber as cost effective option❓ Of course‼️ 🚁 Hill Helicopters have designed a tailor made process - i.e. using out of autoclave solutions - ideal for the manufacture of a general aviation helicopter. 🔧 So in their facilities they created from scratch the necessary infrastructure to produce their own airframes. The possibilities with #composites are almost limitless, so they can almost always become the best option when designing a complete custom project.   👨🔬 In this case we see how other common solutions in carbon fiber manufacturing would have made the project unfeasible because of their very high costs, but this has been avoided by using methods adapted to their case such as the use of custom molds also made of composite materials. 🚁 Thus the helicopter benefits from the excellent weight-strength ratio of carbon fiber at a cost consistent with a general aviation aircraft.   We encourage you to follow Hill Helicopters in their exciting project. 🎥 source: Hill Helicopters Youtube

  • #Carbonfiber has mechanical properties that make it the ideal material for an infinite number of applications, which is why it is often used in cutting-edge products. #Composites are created using specific methods and, depending on the manufacturing technology chosen, allow designs that are impossible to achieve with other materials. 🎨That is why they have become an increasingly popular material among designers seeking to generate an aesthetic impact in their creations. In this case, we can see how the carbon fiber finish allows the creation of a stylish chaise longue that radiates elegance and modernity. In addition, it is sure to be very light when it comes to lift it to sweep under it 🧹 Do you have any furniture made of carbon fiber in your home❓ Would you like to have it❓ Tell us about it in the comments 👇

  • 🌍 This isn’t just #Earth. It’s our home base, our creative space — and everything in between. Where we live, build, vibe, and grow. 🏞️ April 22 is International Mother #EarthDay — a global moment declared by the United Nations to reflect on our bond with the planet. It hits different when you realize we’re not separate from nature. We are nature. Humans, animals, oceans, skies — all in the same loop. 🏄♂️ At Managing Composites, we’re proud to help build lighter, more efficient, and more sustainable solutions — across land, sea, and sky. 🐣 What we do now? That’s what tomorrow feels like. So let’s keep it real, and protect what’s ours. Because Earth doesn’t just hold nature. It holds humanity. We’re not just living on Earth — we’re living with it. 🌍✨ #WeAreOne #SustainableEngineering #CompositesForThePlanet #FutureTogether #EarthVibes #TheWorldWeShare #EarthDay2025 #InternationalMotherEarthDay

  • #Composites in general —and carbon fiber in particular— play a key role in enabling #hydrogen as a clean energy source 🌍 ⚡ With its favorable energy density and potential for sustainable production, hydrogen offers promising solutions across many sectors. To unlock its full potential, hydrogen must be stored in liquefied form, which requires highly robust and reliable tanks capable of withstanding extreme pressures. Pressure vessels —often made of various metals and composites — are critical in this process. Here's a quick overview of the most common types: 🔹 Type 1️⃣ : Entirely metal vessels. 🔹 Type 2️⃣ : Metal liner wrapped with composite material. 🔹 Type 3️⃣ : Metal liner with the primary structural support provided by an outer composite shell. 🔹 Type 4️⃣ : Fully composite vessels, with no metal liner. 🎥 In this video, you can see the manufacturing process of a Type 3 vessel, where fiber guidance and material composition are computer-controlled to ensure precise performance. Do you think hydrogen will become a mainstream energy solution or remain limited to niche applications❓ Share your thoughts in the comments 👇

  • Huuuuuge #carbonfiber parts require huge facilities‼️ ⛵ The mast is one of the most important parts of any sailboat and will be exposed to enormous mechanical stresses that require great strength and reliability. 🌊In this video we can see how they add carbonfiber rigging to a carbonfiber mast for a Gransd Soleil 80, a huge 80-foot sailboat that requires a mast of great strength and performance. ⛈️The safety of sailing depends directly on the ability of the mast to withstand all the forces it will face, which will depend not only on the robustness of its construction, but also on the perfect integration of the metal inserts in the carbon fiber structure and the rest of the elements that are attached to the mast. 😍 Engineering and aesthetics together!

  • 🚗Last week, we had the pleasure of attending Car Design Dialogues in Milan, where the world’s top minds in CMF design came together to talk texture, tone, and the future of automotive storytelling took center stage. 🎨 From color-shifting paints and 3D textures, to bio-based plastics and sustainable luxury materials, this event was all about how design can do more than look good, it can connect emotionally, tell a story, and elevate the brand. 🏎️Big names of the industry shared their insights in how materials are becoming the new language of innovation, from color-changing paints to 3D textures and plant-based plastics. This wasn’t just about making things look good. It was about how design can connect, inspire, and move us literally and emotionally. 🏅Being part of this event wasn’t just a seat at the table it was a front-row view into where design, sustainability, and brand DNA are headed. And for us at Managing Composites, it’s fuel for the next big leap. Massive thanks to Car Design News for hosting this cool event and to all the brilliant minds we met, this is the kind of dialogue we live for. #ManagingComposites #WeDoCoolSh*t #CarDesignNews #CDNMilan

  • 💥 One of the things that makes composite materials special is their ability to be manufactured through a wide variety of techniques — each with its own characteristics. A very popular method for industrial purposes is Resin Transfer Moulding #RTM , a process known for: ⏱️ Short production cycles — ideal for integration into production lines. 🏭 High degree of automation. 📐 Excellent dimensional precision. ♟️ Outstanding repeatability — identical parts, every time. 🍿 In this video, we see an animation of the process and why it offers these advantages compared to other manufacturing methods. 🎥 Source: Balluff Worldwide (YouTube)

  • ⚡ How do fiberglass booms keep people around the world alive ❓ Fiberglass booms are used in aerial lifts to protect workers, the public, and property from electrocution. 🌳They play a key role in the construction of new power lines, maintenance of signs, lights, and structures, as well as in vegetation management by arborists and workers operating near electrical lines. 🚒 Fiberglass booms are widely used in aerial lift equipment, cranes, and utility trucks—transforming them into insulated work platforms. 🎥 In this video, we show how the mechanical performance of these booms is tested—because true safety starts with understanding the limits.
