🆕 Personal investigador del nostre centre ha demostrat una solució intel·ligent que combina l'ús de #drons amb tecnologies #5G i #IA per a localitzar persones desaparegudes en zones remotes. 🛰️ 🌾 Desenvolupat en el marc del projecte #HorizonEurope XGain, MOTCAM combina l’anàlisi de vídeo en temps real amb una connectivitat ràpida per donar suport a operacions d’emergència rurals, monitoratge ambiental i més. Avui és el Dia de les Nenes en les TIC i des d’i2CAT volem recordar que la bretxa de gènere en aquest àmbit és encara molt gran. 👩💻Necessitem desenvolupadores, enginyeres, recercaires i creadores per garantir que la tecnologia sigui més equitativa i justa per a tothom. 🌍 We travelled to Senegal with the Catalan Agency for Development Cooperation (#ACCD), along with the Delegation of the Government of Catalonia to West Africa, and Fonds de Développement du Service Universel des Télécommunications (FDSUT) to support the development of the country’s first #LivingLabs. 💡In #Dangalma, #Kaolack and #Ziguinchor, we learnt about the progress and real impact these projects have on local communities. The spaces are becoming hubs for experimentation, #entrepreneurship, and community empowerment. We concluded our visit with the Living Labs #ScientificCommittee meeting, reviewing progress and setting priorities.
