Eurofragance Key Account Manager Spain and Perfumer Bettina Perisson gave a workshop on the art of scents and smelling at the XXXIII Congreso Internacional de la Societat Catalana d’Otorinolaringologia i Patologia Cèrvicofacial (SEORL-CCC) on Thursday March 20th.    Participants not only smelled raw materials, but they also learned about the profession of a Perfumer, the history of fragrance and what's involved in creating successful scents. We were in Paris last week to attend Paris Perfume Week for the second year in a row. This was a wonderful opportunity to introduce the Spanish perfumery market to true fragrance connoisseurs. Our team showcased a collection of fragrances crafted with some iconic Spanish raw materials such as Murcia lemon, Valencia orange and cistus. But certainly, one of the highlights of the show was the presentation given during the “smell talk” series by Eurofragance Senior Perfumer Angeline Leporini entitled: “Espagne : Traditions et ingrédients emblématiques”. Angéline covered the history of perfume in Spain, how its geography is so conducive to the production of exceptional ingredients, and concluded with the story of the Cologne accord, which owes so much to this Mediterranean country.
