🎉 Today we are thrilled to announce the successful first close of Adara Ventures’ fourth flagship fund (AV4) with a target of €100 million in capital commitments. 💫 This milestone reinforces our commitment to delivering strong returns in high-impact sectors such as cybersecurity, applied AI, digital infrastructure, hardware components, digital health, and space. 🌍 Since 2005, we have proudly invested in over 50 pioneering companies across Europe and the U.S., resulting in more than 10 notable exits. These include AlienVault (acquired by AT&T), PlayGiga (the first Spanish startup acquired by Meta), and Seedtag (acquired by Advent International). Our current portfolio features high-growth companies such as Quibim 🇪🇸 , Cyber Guru 🇮🇹 , and SatVu 🇬🇧. 🐲 In a sector obsessed with unicorns, our philosophy has always been to maximise ‘dragons’ —companies that return the entire fund. We are proud to have generated at least one dragon in each of our previous fund generations, with AV2 poised to rank among the top 5% of VC funds in Europe for its vintage. 🤝 As we take this next step, we are honored to have the support of over 130 limited partners, including institutional investors, pension funds, asset managers, high-net-worth individuals, and family offices. 💪 We are particularly excited to welcome new anchor investors in this first close, alongside a growing number of Adara portfolio founders choosing to invest as LPs — a true testament to the strength of our value proposition. Despite facing one of the most challenging fundraising climates in the past two decades, our strong DPI track record, disciplined investment strategy, and focused fund model have positioned AV4 as a highly compelling opportunity for our limited partners. We want to extend our sincere thanks to all of our partners for their continued support. 🙌 We are now actively investing from AV4 and AVE and over the past nine months, we have successfully secured over €140 million in commitments for our fourth-generation funds. Adara Ventures participated in the $30 million funding round led by UK-based Energy Growth Momentum, alongside Suma Capital. 🌐 Founded by Peter Sobotka, a seasoned entrepreneur with a deep background in energy innovation, Corinex’s Broadband over Power Lines (BPL) technology turns existing electrical wiring into a network that delivers both electricity and high-speed data. By combining energy and data transmission on one infrastructure, Corinex provides a cost-effective, flexible solution that enables real-time #grid monitoring. 📢 Today we are proud to announce our investment in Wirescan AS, a Norway-based company that has developed a patented solution to assess and monitor the condition of both de-energised and energised cables known as LIRA (Line Impedance Resonance Analysis) Technology. This is the second investment of the Adara Ventures Energy Fund and our first in Norway 🇳🇴. ⚡ Power cable integrity is essential for the safe and efficient operation of any facility, whether a factory, wind farm, oil field, or transmission and distribution network. However, should a cable fail, it can lead to facility shutdowns, safety risks, lost revenue, or worse. ⚠️ A proactive and preventative approach to cable integrity is crucial to ensuring performance and safety. This is where Wirescan comes in. She’s played a key role in our transparent operations and making sure our funds and portfolio companies are always supported. ✨ When María joined Adara in 2022, she brought deep global finance experience and quickly became key to streamlining our fund operations. Now, we’re excited to share that she’s stepping into her new role as Head of Finance to help drive our multi-fund strategy forward. ✨ Alessandro has been instrumental in developing the data-driven strategies and thesis-based research that helped launch the Adara Energy Fund. He’s also made a big impact on portfolio management. Now, as Principal, he’ll be leading new initiatives within the Energy Fund. ✨ Andrea has been a key player in driving investment analysis and supporting our flagship seed fund activities since she first joined us as a Visiting Analyst.
