Highlights from GITEX AFRICA 2025: Major milestones, strategic partnerships and key connections with Africa's tech ecosystem 🌍🚀   What a transformative week in #GITEXAFRICA in Marrakech, Morocco packed with impactful collaborations, insightful conversations and opportunities to further connect with Africa's VC community. Key moments included: 🟡 Signing an MoU with TAMWILCOM to launch an acceleration program in Morocco under the Innove Invest Fund initiative, launched by the Ministry of Economy and Finance and TAMWILCOM - this marks our official expansion into the country and bringing Flat6Labs' global expertise to prepare high-impact startups for national and international growth.   🟡 Forming a strategic partnership with Orange Maroc and Orange MEA, in the presence of our CEO Ramez El-Serafy and CPO Yehia Houry, to empower African tech startups with our network of global and regional experts and market expertise.   🟡 Partnering with Mstudio, a venture studio in Côte d'Ivoire, to co-create impactful programs across Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East - connecting innovation players across the continent and bridging French-speaking African ecosystems with the MENA region.   🟡 Yehia Houry, our CPO, shared his insights at the "Diaspora Entrepreneurs as Bridges for Knowledge Transfer and Cultural Exchange" panel alongside Ifeoluwa Ogunbufunmi, Founder of Strategy with Ifeoluwa (SWIF), Ahmed Larouz, CEO of Bridgizz and ClimateLaunchpad Morocco Lead, and Claudia Makadristo, Founder of Relicxs.   🟡 Dina el-Shenoufy, our CIO, participated in the panel "Scaling Beyond Borders: The Future of African Startups in the Global Market" exploring international expansion strategies with Sherif Radi, Country Manager of dLocal, William Benthall, Global Head of Government Relations at Glovo, and Yassine Soual, Investment Principal at Al Mada Ventures.   🟡 Ahmed Djamai, our Program Director of the Green Growth and Jobs Accelerator Project (GGJAP) in Morocco, was part of the panel "How to Prepare a Startup for Fundraising" alongside Meryem E., Manager at INSKIP Entrepreneurs, Salma Kabbaj, Co-Founder and CEO at Impact Lab, and Ali Chraibi, General Director at SB3S.   🟡 Faten Aissi, our Director of Global Partnerships, serving as a jury member at the GITEX pitch competition, conducting a reverse pitch to EIC - European Innovation Council startups, and presenting Flat6Labs and the investment opportunities across the continent.   🟡 Yehia and Faten met up with Orange Digital Center's startups from Morocco, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Europe, and also met with Christophe Lecourtier, Ambassador of France to Morocco.
