Driving onshore wind to success Our first V163 wind turbines are generating power for our customers across North and South America, Africa, and Europe. Why the V163 leads the way: 🔄 Scalability: Built on the robust 4 MW platform, the V163 utilises our existing V150 supply chain and shares over 67% of its components. ✅ Reliability: With over 78 GW and over 20,000 turbines installed worldwide, the 4 MW platform is a proven technology. ♻️ Sustainability: Designed for efficiency, the V163 achieves an energy payback in just 6 months and boasts 98.5% turbine recyclability. 📸 V163 transport through Spain. 🇪🇸

At WindEurope, our message was clear...European competitiveness starts with wind energy. We’re ready to power a European energy system that supports security, affordability and sustainability – and we’re backed by a strong track record. Now, it’s time for us to address solvable market barriers and secure our energy future. Key highlights of our participation this year include: ◼️ Our CSO Javier Rodríguez Diez, setting the scene at the opening Ministerial session, calling for a stable market environment for renewables. ◼️ Our CTOO Anders Nielsen, in conversation with key stakeholders to get offshore wind back on track. ◼️ Our CEO, and newly elected WindEurope Chair, Henrik Andersen at Ørsted’s offshore wind session, emphasising the need to translate wind energy ambitions to actual projects. ◼️ And the opportunity to connect with many of our partners and customers. Thank you to all our partners and participants for your engagement and to the organisers. We look forward to continuing to work together with WindEurope and our stakeholders across the global energy landscape to drive European competitiveness forward through wind energy.

Now part of our Service fleet: our 100% methanol-powered crew transfer vessel (CTV) Our global sustainability strategy outlines our ambition to decarbonise our operations and value chain. As part of that, we signed a 10-year charter agreement with our long-term supplier Northern Offshore Services in 2023, for a single-fuel crew transfer vessel (CTV) powered exclusively by bio-methanol. The project is a pilot, and the vessel is now able to transport our Service colleagues to and from the Arcadis Ost wind park in the German part of the Baltic Sea. Over the next decade, we will explore how this new technology can help reduce carbon emissions from offshore service operations. We are also investigating options for sourcing methanol regionally in northeastern Germany to meet our needs. Learn more from our VP of Sustainability, Lisa Ekstrand, and Northern Offshore Group (N-O-G) CEO, David Kristensson, as they urge the wind industry to push boundaries, test new solutions, and drive a sustainable offshore future: https://brnw.ch/21wRPlA

We are ending Q1 on a high!   We have secured a firm order for the 1.02 GW Nordlicht 1 offshore wind project in Germany from our customers, Vattenfall. The order includes ◾ Supply, delivery, and commissioning of 68 V236-15.0 MW wind turbines. ◾ Low-emission steel for parts of the towers, leading to a reduction in the towers’ overall carbon footprint. ◾ Upon completion, Vestas will service the asset under a comprehensive 5-year service and warranty agreement followed by a 25-year operational support agreement. Wind turbine installation for Nordlicht 1 is expected to take place in 2027.  The Nordlicht wind farm area is located 85 kilometres north off the island of Borkum in the German North Sea and consists of two separate locations: Nordlicht 1 and Nordlicht 2. Vestas and Vattenfall signed a conditional order agreement in June 2024 for both locations. If and when Nordlicht 2 materialises in a firm and unconditional order for Vestas, the company will disclose it in accordance with its disclosure policy. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/dT6KyhPJ
