Can Sister Spirit travel more than 600 kilometres? 🌍 We are establishing an additional distribution centre in the Netherlands, which means that we are looking forward to not only 45,000 extra square metres but also plenty of new Sisters. A few weeks ago, we welcomed the first few of our new Dutch Sisters to our headquarters in Aarhus for a week of onboarding – the Søstrene Grene way. ✨ Onboarding is more than just introductions to systems and processes, it’s also about company history, working days in a store, getting to know each other, and Sister Spirit. The Sister Spirit is our strong company culture that tie us together across functions and countries. “The days in Aarhus were wonderful for our understanding of Søstrene Grene as a family-owned business and the Sister Spirit, and it also included a touch of Danish hygge with ‘smørrebrød’. We are now fully equipped to bring the Sister Spirit to life here in the Netherlands when we soon welcome many more Sisters in Anna & Clara’s wonderful world,” says Kim Vervoort, P&C Manager and the very first Sister in our yet-to-be-opened distribution centre. 🌟

✨Lively London and Lovely Leiden✨ Today we opened our newest Central London store at Argyll St., Oxford Circus 🙌🏼 A PR event was held this morning, where 50 journalists and influencers were welcomed by our co-owner and creative director Cresten Grene. The first customers were queuing from 7.15 am and they were joined by more and more before the ribbon was cut at 9.59 am by Cresten Grene and co-owner and Group CEO Mikkel Vaupell Grene 🌟 A big thank you to our PR Sisters at LUYA for the collaboration on this opening 👏🏼 However, this was not the only opening today as we also opened in lovely Leiden, The Netherlands 💪🏼 A huge congratulations to Norma Jacob and Richard Power and Mogens Link Schmidt along with all the hardworking Sisters on these beautiful stores 👏🏼👏🏼 A heartfelt thank you to our all our customers for the warm welcome! 🤎

Spicy news from Anna & Clara 🌶️ Recently, we launched our new, expanded standard assortment of organic spices and we couldn’t be happier with the result 🧂 Here's what's new: ✔ 81% larger assortment with both seasonal and all-year-round items. ✔ 100% organic to meet our customer demands and responsibility strategy. ✔ Optimised packaging with transparent bags and plastic labels for easier waste sorting. ✔ Beautiful hand-drawn labels by our Design Sisters, keeping the Anna and Clara touch. Many hardworking Sisters have been part of making this project come to life. Our Sister from team Buying, Food, Lisa Larsen says: “Working together with talented Sisters in this cross-functional spice group has been such a great process from end to end. We have been working on the spice project for more than a year where we have been juggling with everything from customer insights and logistical challenges to food drawings for the labels. It is wonderful to see the result, and the spices have already received the warmest of welcomes by our customers, so we are very happy with the result.” ✨ Anna and Clara are not afraid to spice things up in their everchanging wonderful world. Our customers can now explore everything from basic standards to fun, hip and seasonal spices both in stores and online 🧅 Which spice is your favourite? 🥑 

🐥 Running around like a headless chicken… is not something we encourage at Søstrene Grene 🐥 Because a visit to our stores is meant offer a break from a hectic everyday life where you can immerse yourself in the wonderful world of Anna & Clara. However, if you visit us at Søndergade in Aarhus, Schloßstraße in Berlin, or Spitalerstraße in Hamburg, you might have seen a large pair of chicken legs 👀 The chicken legs are installed in our Experience rooms, which are only available at a few stores ✨  What’s an Experience room? Our co-owner and Creative Director, Cresten Gene, explains the concept here: “It is a dedicated area in the store where we want to give the customers an extraordinary and unexpected experience. It is a space for us to experiment and play with the expression and create a special atmosphere. It can change from month to month, season to season, the important thing is that the rooms offer a sensory experience.” The idea was hatched our Retail Experience department. Head of Retail Experience, Vibse Ebling, says:  “Sometimes it is just the small things that set an idea off. We have often talked about the effect of something oversized, and the experience of seeing something but not all of it, which can really make you think. And since Easter is around the corner, we were looking at lots of different ideas of how to highlight the season in the stores. Hence the large chicken. We like to create something a little bit quirky which leaves the customers with smiles on their faces after having a good – and different – experience.”  So strutt your stuff, don’t walk on our eggshells to see our chicken legs.   Take it from us: they’re even more egg-cellent in real life 🤩
