An Incredible Duo Set Sail for Coastal Virginia! 🚢 You might remember the impressive yellow jacket foundation that departed from Esbjerg in early December? Well, it made its way safely to the Port of Aalborg just before Christmas, where our fantastic site team and the 3,800-tonne topside were ready for loadout. And then just before New Year's Eve, we finally sent this duo - the first of three sets - on their epic journey across the Atlantic Ocean.🌍 Dominion Energy’s Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind is an amazing project, and we're just so proud of the positive change it’s going to bring: 🔸 Powering up to 660,000 households. 🔸 Eliminating up to 5 million tons of CO2 emissions annually. 🔸 Achieving a total capacity of 2.6 gigawatts. Danske Flådeskibe K/S will achieve a strong presence in Esbjerg through international engineering and contracting company Semco Maritime, which has entered into an agreement with the intention of joining the ownership of Danske Flådeskibe K/S. Another Hai Long Giant Sets Sail! 🚢 The second and last Hai Long substation has embarked on its journey from Vung Tau to the Taiwan Strait, marking another milestone in Taiwanese offshore wind! Our Semco Maritime team, alongside our partner PTSC M&C, has once again delivered excellence, ensuring the HL3 substation is ready to make waves in clean energy. 🌊 With a combined generating capacity exceeding 1 GW, the Hai Long 2 and 3 substations are set to power over a million Taiwanese homes, driving the nation's energy transition forward. 🌱 A heartfelt THANK YOU to Hai Long for your trust and to our partners PTSC M&C and ISC Consulting Engineers for their unwavering dedication. We are excited to celebrate a significant milestone in the Baltic Power project: the arrival of two topsides at Port of Aalborg, Denmark, from Gdynia in Poland. ✌ This achievement is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and safety focus of our incredible team over the past two years.🙏 With the prefabrication phase complete, our team in Aalborg is poised to begin outfitting. This crucial stage will ensure the topsides are ready to sail by September 2025 for installation in the Polish sector of the Baltic Sea. Offshore commissioning will continue until the project's completion in early 2026. Situated approximately 23 kilometres off the shores of Łeba and Choczewo, the Baltic Power wind farm will feature 76 wind turbine generators, each with a capacity of 15 MW. Once operational, it will provide clean power to more than 1.5 million households.
