Securing your first investment can be both thrilling and confusing. Many founders feel overwhelmed, and this is completely normal. The good news? Preparation goes a long way. Before stepping into the room with investors, make sure you’ve nailed the essentials: ✅ A Clear Plan – Articulate how you make money, the market you’re addressing, and what traction you’ve achieved. 🎯 A Crisp, Compelling Pitch – Your deck should tell a story. Why you? Why now? Why is this the next category-defining company? 📊 Reliable Financials – Know your numbers. Even if you're pre-revenue, show you understand your burn, runway, and what milestones drive growth. Back up your vision with projections that prove you are intentional in your thinking. 📝 Diligence Ready Docs – Make diligence easy. Make due diligence easy. Well-organized docs signal professionalism and reduce friction, and instill confidence. 👥 A High-Conviction Team – Investors back people first. Show what makes your team uniquely positioned to win. At IDC Ventures, we’ve seen great pitches fall flat due to poor prep, and okay pitches turn into term sheets with the right foundation. Your first round shapes your trajectory: team, terms, and who’s on your cap table. Get the story straight. Know your numbers. Make it easy to say yes. #VentureCapital #Fundraising #Startups #InvestorReady #IDCVentures

This is Venture Capital (VC) for beginners! 🤓 Venture Capital is how early-stage startups secure the funding and support they need to scale. For investors, it’s a way to access tomorrow’s market leaders—before the world knows their names. VC doesn’t just fund innovation—it helps shape the future. In return for early equity, LPs gain exposure to high-growth companies, strategic sectors, and the potential for asymmetric returns through IPOs and acquisitions. Why consider VC? High-Upside: ~50% of all U.S. public companies started with VC backing. Innovation Engine: $368B+ deployed in 2024 into AI, climate, biotech, and beyond. Portfolio Diversification: Non-correlated returns that complement traditional asset classes. Unfair Access: Top VC firms provide LPs exposure to high-conviction deals, elite founders, and proven growth strategies before they go mainstream. Want to learn more? It was inspiring to hear Fernando Gonzalez, CEO of Coru, at the IDC Annual Meeting 2025 in Miami, where he shared how AI is transforming customer service, enhancing business operations while making a real difference for people. “We’ve fine-tuned Latin America’s diverse dialects and communication styles, bringing empathy into AI-driven conversations. Our goal is to make every interaction feel truly human,” shared González. Coru’s Intelligent Digital Assistant is transforming customer engagement by combining expertise, AI, and machine learning. A clear example? Banco Azteca in Mexico, where Coru’s AI has streamlined customer service, accelerating loan processes, and generating millions in value. In just one year, their AI handled 250,000+ conversations, slashing response times to 4.5 seconds and achieving a 70% satisfaction rate. A game-changer for businesses and consumers alike. Exciting times ahead for Coru and the future of AI-driven customer experience! #IDCAnnualMeeting #AI #CustomerExperience #Innovation #MachineLearning #Coru #TechForGood #IDCVentures

90 million people. When we heard that number from Daniel Shteyn, Chairman & President at SuperSim, at the IDC Annual Meeting 2025 in Miami, it struck us, as if we were hearing it for the first time. The figures behind SuperSim are precise and deeply revealing: ➡️4 out of 6 Brazilians are underbanked or unbanked ➡️43.5% of the Brazilian population lacks access to credit ➡️That’s over 90 million people – a staggering gap, and a massive opportunity for impact. Founded in 2019, SuperSim is addressing this challenge head-on by offering microcredit-driven financial inclusion to Brazil’s working class. Their mission is clear: bring credit inclusion to those historically left out of the system. As Daniel put it: “We leverage tech-enabled online microcredit to drive credit inclusion.” From the stage, Daniel also shared a powerful set of milestones that reflect true scalability: ✔ +20 million applications received ✔ +4.1 million loans funded ✔ 1 million unique active users ✔ $355 million in capital lent ✔ $12 million in capital raised And SuperSim is evolving. Daniel outlined how AI is becoming a cornerstone of their operations, transforming everything from customer support and collections to CRM. Beyond automation, AI now supports tech maintenance through advanced code analysis, proactively identifying vulnerabilities and improving security across the platform. SuperSim is also thinking long-term. With strategic M&A opportunities on the horizon, and the launch of new products designed to increase customer lifetime value, the company is expanding into new, credit-linked use cases that deepen their relationship with users and extend their reach. At IDC Ventures, we’re proud to partner with founders like Daniel and companies like SuperSim that blend purpose with performance. At this scale, financial inclusion in Brazil is no longer a dream, it’s a strategy, and it’s working. #IDCAnnualMeeting #IDCVentures #Fintech #FinancialInclusion #LatinAmerica #Brazil #AI #Microcredit #VentureCapital #Growth #ImpactInvesting #SuperSim

$1 billion on-chain = a groundbreaking achievement for institutional finance. The BlackRock USD Institutional Digital Liquidity Fund (BUIDL), tokenized by Securitize, has officially surpassed $1 billion in assets under management (AUM) Why does this matter? ➡️Institutional validation: BUIDL proves that tokenized funds are not just a concept but a scalable reality, backed by BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager. ➡️Enhanced liquidity & transparency: On-chain tokenization reduces counterparty risk, enables near-instant transfers, and offers real-time visibility into assets. ➡️Cross-chain interoperability: Launched on Ethereum, BUIDL now operates across multiple blockchains, including Aptos, Arbitrum, Avalanche, Optimism, and Polygon. ➡️Growing market potential: Tokenization of real-world assets is projected to reach $50B in value by the end of 2025. As Carlos Domingo, Co-founder & CEO of Securitize, puts it: "BUIDL is a pioneering product that has paved the way for tokenized securities to demonstrate for the investment community the integration and accessibility that the market desperately needed." Securitize continues to lead the charge in tokenizing real-world assets, reshaping the financial landscape, and accelerating digital asset adoption at scale. #Securitize #Tokenization #Blockchain #DigitalAssets #InstitutionalFinance #Fintech #IDCVentures

The IDC Annual Meeting was the perfect platform to showcase IDC Arena Credit Ventures, our joint venture led by Melissa Ramirez de Coburn, focused on scaling impact through venture debt. 2024 was a milestone year: we secured $200M in capital, launched our venture debt strategy, and expanded our network to empower founders with non-dilutive growth capital. While our sponsors IDC Ventures, IDC Network and Arena Investors, LP have successfully executed many deals independently, this year we announced our inaugural deal as IDC Arena Credit Ventures. As IDC celebrates 30 years of innovation, we’re just getting started. If you're a founder seeking flexible financing, let’s connect. A special thanks to Melissa Ramirez de Coburn and Erik Garrigo for presenting our vision in Miami.
