Season’s Greetings from the Blue Flag programme! 💙 As the year draws to a close, we reflect on the remarkable achievements and milestones reached by the Blue Flag International programme in 2024. Together, we’ve continued to set the standard for sustainability in tourism, inspiring action across the globe. This year’s highlights include: • 🌐A growing global impact: Blue Flag now proudly certifies 5,161 sites in 51 countries, a testament to our collective commitment to sustainability and excellence in environmental stewardship. • 🤝International collaboration and dialogue: we brought the Blue Flag community together at the National Operators Meeting in Trinidad & Tobago hosted by Green T&T fostering shared learning and collaboration to strengthen our global network. •🌊 Engaging with global audiences: Blue Flag participated in several high-profile events, including European Maritime Days organized by the European Commission, the 19th Meeting of the Committee on Tourism and Sustainability organised by UN Tourism in Costa Rica, Metstrade and the Sun&Blue Congress. These platforms allowed us to showcase our work and advocate for sustainable tourism practices on a global scale. • 👀Dedicated supporters: None of these achievements would have been possible without the steadfast support of the Blue Flag International Jury Members and the unwavering dedication of our National Operators.
