Hi,

I manage a large publication that averages millions of pageviews each month. A few years back we added twitter embeds as an option for our editors leveraging twitter’s embed widget.

It’s been our experience and understanding since then that these embed widget calls are not rate limited like API calls. However, as of today we are noticing that these calls are being met with the 429 server error, which indicates we are being rate limited.

Has twitter made a recent change to how embed widget calls are handled?
