  • Bank on Tech, our annual global technology showcase series kicked off in APAC end of February. Over 100 technology projects were presented by our tech teams across the region in Pune, Bangalore, Jaipur, Mumbai and Singapore!🚀 Along with the technology showcases, the event also featured some very interesting connects with AI start-up founders. Bernd Leukert and Dilip Khandelwal hosted Srikanth Velamkanni of Fractal Analytics for a Fireside Chat on “AI, Innovation and the Future of Enterprises”💬. Srikanth provided insights on use cases for GenAI and AI for mission critical applications on the front office side, sharing examples from healthcare to financial services and insurance companies. He also talked about enterprises that have used GenAI in their research and development and new products introduction pipeline, generating and validating ideas using AI saving thousands of hours doing market research. 💡 Srikanth’s advice for developers and technologists: “Regardless of your role, never lose your technical edge. Don’t just become a people manager—stay hands-on and keep building your expertise. Without it, you risk losing relevance.”💪 #DeutscheBank #MoreThanBanking #EngineerTheFuture

  • Schülerkrypto: A Fun Day with Cryptography 🕺 The Schülerkrypto event, a one-day crypto camp, welcomed 65 high school students to dive into the fascinating world of cryptography. 👥 Our team of crypto experts, including Matthias Kraft, Lucas Niehues, Anna Schulz-Kirchner, Arkadius Litwinczuk and Katharina Muth guided students through challenges involving historic ciphers up to modern encryption methods. Students showed great interest in advanced topics like post-quantum cryptography and blockchain. 💰 One of the highlights was a mining challenge, where the top performer walked away with a "money bag" of chocolate coins, simulating the real-life rewards of successful mining. After a pizza lunch break, Dr. Doris Behrendt (CrypTool) demonstrated how to experiment with cryptography algorithms directly within the browser using CrypTool-Online. 💼 The event concluded with Margarita Schatz and Paul Koss providing valuable insights in career opportunities at Deutsche Bank. Overall, it was an engaging and educational day that left the students excited about the possibilities in the field of cryptography. 🏁 Our top three takeaways from the event: ▶️1. Origins of Cryptography: The term "crypto" is derived from the Greek word "Kryptos," which means secret. Cryptography is the science of encrypting data. ⏩2. Importance of Cryptography: In today's world, cryptography is ubiquitous and essential. It plays a crucial role in online banking, encrypting messages, blockchain technology, and e-commerce, making it indispensable for secure digital interactions. ⏭️3. Future-Proofing Crypto Algorithms: As technology evolves, particularly with the advent of quantum computers, it is vital to ensure that cryptographic algorithms are robust and future-proof to withstand emerging challenges. #cryptography #PQC #informationsecurity#ThisisTDI

  • As we navigate the technology-driven business world, research increasingly shows that employees with “people skills” 🙌 are able to go the extra mile and prove to be of immense value to the organisation. Nidhi Goel, Global Product Chapter Lead from the India Technology Center was invited to MKSSS'S Cummins College Of Engineering Pune 🛠️ for Women 👭 in Pune for a Leadership Talk. Nidhi’s session focused on her own personal experience of the power of people skills especially in large tech organisations. 💼 The value of skills like problem-solving, collaboration, communication skills, negotiation and relationship building is immeasurable. 🚀 There was a discussion around the importance of “building the right thing” rather than “building the thing right”. 🥅 The discussion focused on connecting with users and stakeholders and understanding the “what and why” rather than jumping right into developing the technical solution to a problem. There was a lively Q&A where students wanted to learn more about developing and honing these skills that would help them in their future careers. 👩💻 👩💻 #DeutscheBank #MoreThanBanking #EngineerTheFuture
