🎉 𝟯𝟱 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 & 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗟𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗜 𝗪𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗜 𝗛𝗮𝗱 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗿 – 𝐁𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐆𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐲
Today, I am turning 35. 😱 Looking back at my years as an entrepreneur, consultant, tech- and product lead, and startup mentor, there’s one leadership lesson I wish I had truly understood earlier:
👉 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳. 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆.
I’ve seen it (and lived it) too many times:
⚡️ Founders trying to control everything.
⚡️ Believing they are the only ones who can make the right decisions.
⚡️ Thinking their company wouldn’t function without them.
The cost? Burnout, chaos, and a company that’s built on quicksand.
Here is what I have learned instead:
💡 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝘁𝗮𝘀𝗸𝘀 – 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽, 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁.
💡 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗺𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀.
💡 𝗔 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽𝘀 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 – 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿.
My birthday gift to you: a question to reflect on (and a free coaching)
🔥 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 – 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗱?
