Color never goes out of style. What effect do colors have when they last for decades - and yet always appear anew? Our CMF team at studiokurbos has brought together design icons from different decades: The bordeaux red Walkman of the 80s, the red PSP of the early 2000s, the Myto chair by Konstantin Grcic - combined with current objects such as the pink Playstation controller or the pink Vogue (2025 edition). At the center: PINK – our CI color. It runs like a red (or rather: pink) wire through times, materials and styles. What looks like pink sometimes feels completely different. Whether shiny plastic, frosted metal or textured fabric - the effect changes depending on the material. Sometimes provocative, sometimes elegant, sometimes playful. ISH 2025: Future Concepts for water, heat and air solutions From March 17 to 21, 2025, the ISH in Frankfurt (ISH Frankfurt) is the place to be - under the motto “Solutions for a Sustainable Future”. We had a great time at the fair and have identified four central trends: 01 – Color & Design: It's getting colorful! Bold color concepts set new accents from bathroom products up to heating solutions. 02 – Collaborations: Exciting product partnerships are showcased such as Barbie × HEWI. We are also proud to met our partners like Judo. In the focus: Design meets technology – topics like CO₂ reduction, water filtration and mineral enrichment for healthy water at home. This is reflected in well-designed products. 03 – Material: Recycling and innovative materials revolutionize the heating- and air solutions – from the product itself up to the packaging. 04 – Bathroom: The bathroom is becoming more of a well designed living room! What does a vehicle look like when driving on the Moon? The Young Designers project by studiokurbos and Jason Song explores the design of a Lunar Recreational Vehicle, taking advantage of the Moon’s low gravity to create a completely new off-road experience. Every vision starts with a sketch, and this concept follows a simple yet distinctive shape, blending aesthetics with function. The lines and proportions are shaped by the unique conditions of an environment where gravity plays little to no role, opening up new design possibilities. The lower gravity offers new driving possibilities, redefining "offroading" in a whole new way. Looking at future moon tourism, it creates more than just a vehicle – it’s a vision for experiences once thought impossible. Let’s set off on a journey to uncharted worlds. The young designer, Jason Song, studying at College for Creative Studies, joined our Ideation Team as a mandatory intern for the past six months and quickly became a great asset. Passionate and driven, he traveled all the way from Detroit to Stuttgart to gain hands-on experience at studiokurbos.
