𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀: 🐰🍫 Last year, 202 million chocolate Easter bunnies were produced in Germany, more than half of which were consumed domestically.  𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗼𝗽𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗴𝗶𝗳𝘁𝘀: 🎁💶 According to a survey, around 41 percent of Germans plan to spend money at Easter. Food such as chocolate Easter bunnies or Easter eggs are among the most popular gifts.  𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀: 📅🐣 The earliest possible date for Easter Sunday is 22 March. Its most previous occurrence was in 1818 and before that in 1598, 1693 and 1761. The latest date is 25 April, last observed in 1943 and before that in 1666 and 1734.  𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗲𝗴𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 🥚📊 During Easter week, each German consumes an average of around 7 eggs per week, which equates to one egg per day.  𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗴𝗶𝗳𝘁𝘀: 💸🎉 In 2022, 14% of Germans said they spent up to 50 euros on Easter gifts, while 5% spent more than €100. 𝗠𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 - 𝟳𝘁𝗵 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘆📊 The 7th round of the "Life Satisfaction in German Cities" survey has been completed, with 16 cities and 11,000 citizens participating. 📊 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲: 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀: Markets🛒, squares⛲️, and pedestrian zones🛍️ received particularly positive ratings. 𝗨𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗻 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 🌳 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝘆 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗱: Parks and gardens are a source of satisfaction for many citizens. 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲🏥: The healthcare system received strong ratings across the board. 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 🚌: Cities like Dresden and Freiburg showed notably high satisfaction with public transport. 𝗛𝗼𝘄𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿, 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱:    𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗲𝘀 🛣️: Roads, buildings, and cleanliness were rated less favorably across several cities. 𝗔𝗶𝗿 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀 💨: Cities like Mannheim, with more industrial activity, reported higher dissatisfaction with air quality. The importance of such studies is clear: they provide valuable data that can contribute to the ongoing improvement of life quality in urban environments.   They not only offer insights into the needs of the population but also assist local governments and policymakers in addressing areas requiring attention.  These findings serve as a vital foundation for sustainable urban development 🌍 that meets the demands of citizens. 🚀 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝘂𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀! 📊 𝗪𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗻𝗲𝗴𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆: The Statistical Advisory Council recently published a series of groundbreaking recommendations to drive the further development of official statistics in Germany - and this is of crucial importance for the future data strategy of our local authorities. 🏙️ In the midst of the ongoing coalition negotiations, the Council is calling for, among other things, 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀. This would enable local authorities to precisely tailor data below the municipal boundary to their specific planning areas - from 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 to important topics such as 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 📚, 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿𝘀 🧑🤝🧑, 𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 🏠, 𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 🌍 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 🚗. Access to 𝘂𝗽-𝘁𝗼-𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 could avoid duplicate surveys - a huge step towards increasing efficiency and 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘂𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘆. ✂️ This would also help local authorities to better tackle the pressing challenges of our time at a local level. The emphasis on the 𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲-𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲 is particularly noteworthy. This principle makes it possible to collect data only once and use it for different purposes - all while respecting 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 🔒 and 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 📑. The recommendations of the Statistical Advisory Council are an important step towards making the data infrastructure in Germany 🇩🇪 fit for the future and providing better support for municipal stakeholders.
