In our application story in the current ASAM:GUIDE, we show how the diagnostic standard ASAM e.V. #SOVD is successfully introduced from a development perspective. Individual information is processed in the test system outside the vehicle. In future, information will be aggregated directly in the vehicle via the integrated diagnostic system (SOVD server). Vehicle diagnostics will then be carried out wirelessly via the cloud. However, the development and release of ECU diagnostics will continue to take place via UDS. Ideally, a multi-stage approach will therefore be taken in line with the increasing integration of vehicle systems – with established processes for tools and data. An extension of the established engineering tester Softing #DTS.monaco creates a flexible #solution that combines classic ODX/UDS-based processes with the new SOVD world – ideal for the gradual migration to fully SOVD-compliant vehicle architectures. Advantages ✔️ Complete coverage of classic (UDS) and service-oriented (SOVD) diagnostics ✔️ Seamless integration into existing development and release processes  ✔️ Minimal training effort thanks to integration into the familiar tool  ✔️ Maximum flexibility for migration to fully SOVD-compliant vehicle architectures The concept for implementing the SOVD standard in new vehicle developments meets all customer requirements in both the old and the new world.
