Celebrating milestones in the ink industry is not just about acknowledging the past; it’s about shaping the future! 🎉 Siegwerk China recently marked a significant chapter in our journey by participating in the 24th National Ink Industry Annual Conference and the 40th-anniversary celebration of the Chinese ink industry, hosted by CPIA in Hangzhou on February 27th and 28th, 2025. This event was a remarkable platform to highlight our commitment to sustainability and innovation in the ink sector. During the anniversary celebration, Siegwerk was honored to receive the Sustainable Development Enterprise Award—an accolade that reinforces our dedication to eco-friendly practices. 🌍 Additionally, our very own Tan Keng Eng was recognized with the Ink Industry Craftsman Award, and Dr. Sharon Pan received the Ink Industry Standard Leading Award. These achievements reflect our team's hard work and passion for the industry! A groundbreaking moment was the launch of the first-ever China Ink Yearbook (2024), a historic publication dedicated to the ink industry in China. Siegwerk China is proud to have played a pivotal role in its compilation. Special thanks to Richard van der Beek for his inspiring congratulatory message in Chinese, and to the entire team for their invaluable contributions. The conference also featured a thought-provoking keynote by Dr. Ralf Leineweber on the upcoming European Packaging & Packaging Waste Regulation. Siegwerk India celebrated 54th National Safety Week. The week-long event was a significant success, with insightful sessions, activities, and safety initiatives that were thoroughly engaging for all participants. Employees took part in the safety training sessions, discussions, an online quiz, poster making competition and safety/fire drills which emphasized the importance of fostering a safer environment for all. Siegwerk Büdingen participated in Girls’ and Boys’ Day beginning of April. Called Girls’ and Boys’ Day, the project puts focus on encouraging youngsters to look at future jobs outside of their traditional role models. At Siegwerk Büdingen site, two students took part in a factory tour, an internship in the coloristic and technical development departments and had the opportunity to measure the viscosity of gold for tissue products.
