  • 🔁 Wrapping up an inspiring time at Annual European Rheology Conference AERC 2025, Lyon-France April 14-17, 2025   After four vibrant days of scientific exchange, inspiring presentations, and meaningful conversations, it's time to bring a truly successful conference to a close. From bubble dynamics in yield stress fluids to the tribological performance of SLIPS coatings, from extensional viscosity in polymer melts to complex flow behavior, our contributions reflected the diversity and depth of today's rheological research. 🤝 Special thanks to our academic and industrial partners for the fruitful collaborations that made this possible. It is these collaborative efforts that truly drive innovation. 💡 Whether it is NETZSCH Kinexus and Rosand technologies, our new FreeFlow Dies, or our presence in the biomedical field, we are proud to have been part of the conversation about the future of rheology. We leave Lyon energized by the connections made and with a solid outlook for the future. Let’s keep the conversation going. 👋 Until next time! • 🐣🍫 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗗𝗼 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗟𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲? 𝗖𝗿𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝘆 𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗺𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗵? 🍫🐣 With Easter around the corner, chocolate takes center stage — whether it's in the shape of eggs, bunnies, or bars. But did you know that temperature plays a huge role in how chocolate feels when you chew it? Our team at NETZSCH put this to the test using the 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘂𝘀 𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗵𝗲𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿, simulating the mastication of chocolate at different temperatures. Here's what we found: 🥶 At 10 °C (fridge-cold), chocolate resists chewing — it takes 50 N of force to compress it. 😋 At 35 °C (mouth temperature), just 3.7 N is enough for a smooth bite. So... whether you prefer a satisfying snap or a melt-in-your-mouth moment, now you know what’s happening behind the scenes (or... behind the smile)! • 🧪 How do you measure thermal expansion in ultra-thin metals like Invar® alloy films? Invar® 36, also known as Invar® or generically as FeNi36, is a critical material in high-precision applications like OLED screen production, optics, and aerospace, thanks to its exceptionally low coefficient of thermal expansion. But analyzing such thin samples (down to 25 µm!) requires highly sensitive instrumentation. 🔬 In our latest application note, we show how the NETZSCH DIL 402 Expedis® Supreme delivers precise dilatometry measurements on these delicate film samples — even under challenging conditions. 📊 Learn how the combination of smart sample support and cutting-edge sensor technology helps you obtain reliable data for demanding applications. 👉 Read the full application note here or on our website: https://buff.ly/Y2alWzu #NETZSCH #ProvenExcellence #Dilatometry #ThermalExpansion #Invar #ThinFilms #MaterialScience #ThermalAnalysis
