𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱, 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱, 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 – 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗲𝘁𝘀 Mahr Engineered Solutions (MES) has developed a customized automation solution for a manufacturer of flat-rolled aluminium products: a measuring station for roughness testing of aluminium sheets. These will later be processed into car body parts in the automotive industry. The heart of the solution: four specially integrated MarSurf M 310 – actually mobile devices – work here in a fixed structure with a double-skid touch probe system; loading is carried out by a collaborative robot, the MahrFeeder.
