KYOCERA AVX Components (Werne)´s innovative Brake by Wire Pedal sends electronic signals to the control unit instead of to a direct hydraulic connection. The ECU processes the signals and figures out the right braking force. By turning on the electric or electrohydraulic actuators at the wheels, the ECU applies the correct brake force. The Brake by Wire Pedal offers a modular design to adjust the force characteristic, pedal strokes, electrical signals, and vehicle adaptation. Rotor Position Sensor for Electric Motors - An inductive high speed rotor position sensor (SPINpad sensor): A combination of high accuracy and fast response time is required for rotor position sensors in the electric motors of hybrid or electric vehicles. This allows the control unit to drive the motor optimally, and leads to a reduction in energy consumption and an increased range of the vehicle. Here is more information about our sensors for electromobility applications: https://lnkd.in/eUuUip7n

KYOCERA AVX Chassis Sensors are providing the chassis level information accurate and reliable even in harsh conditions. The information about the chassis position has been required since decades for automatic headlamp levelling and is becoming increasingly important for chassis control systems. Using modern Hall based ASSP electronic in a particularly slim sensor concept the advantages of our next generation rotary angle solution are obvious: Higher Efficiency: Reduction of size and weight of the sensor and entire assembly group I Higher Safety: ASIL B(C) I Higher Savings: Low cost sensor and linkage design. Position Sensor Technology by KYOCERA AVX: In battery electric and hybrid vehicles, it is essential to have a rapid and precise rotor position measurement to ensure effective Emotor controls. A precise position signal, spanning from standstill (0 rpm) to maximum rotation speed (up to 100,000 rpm), is important for achieving high torque and efficiency of the traction drive, as well as enhancing the vehicle's power and extending its driving range. KYOCERA AVX has developed a new type of resolver that works with an active system. The SPINpad technology is based on KYOCERA AVX's Autopad® technology, which has been in use since 2007 and has produced millions of products in the field. The new antenna system of the SPINpad technology will provide accurate high speed measurements of electric motors. Find out more: https://lnkd.in/erK5ehud

The innovative KYOCERA AVX Components Brake by Wire Pedal uses electronic controls instead of a mechanical connection to transmit force from the brake pedal to the brake discs. Brake by Wire Pedals can be used in non-electric cars, but it is especially helpful in hybrid and electric vehicles (EVs) where it allows the brake pedal to control the recuperation. Two position sensors built into the Brake by Wire system track the driver's pedal plate pushdown, allowing the system to calculate the required braking force. The implementation of different diagnostics is possible for reliable, functional safety. Learn more about our Brake by Wire Pedal: https://lnkd.in/ehtupTRC
