Our management took this as an opportunity to visit every employee at their workplace on this day to remind them that health is always a top priority. Childcare is a woman's job? Not the way we think at KS Large Bore Pistons - that is why we are always delighted when our male employees decide to take parental leave after the birth or in the first years of their children's lives. Our employee Frederik Edinge is just one of many fathers in our company who has taken advantage of this right: Having already stayed at home for four weeks in the early days to grow together as a family, he decided to experience this special phase of his life intensively once again in the second half of his daughter's first year of life. “From an organizational point of view, parental leave was handled completely smoothly and without complications within the company,” says Frederik. ”I was able to enjoy this precious time with my family and experience my daughter's important milestones without having to worry about work. I knew that my colleagues would have my back and divide my tasks perfectly between them - a big thank you for that! And I also knew that I wouldn't be at a disadvantage because I took two short sabbaticals. We saved lives! Together with the American Red Cross, our colleagues at our site in Marinette, USA, organized a blood drive for the first time - and it was an incredible experience! Donating blood is a simple, quick and safe way to save lives. In emergencies and serious operations, a blood donation can make all the difference. Thanks to the great support of our team and the local organization, we were able to make a real contribution together.
