In jwc's latest Global Industry Performance Review, we examined whether pure organizing companies or those that integrate both organizing and venue operations experience faster growth and higher profitability. It is no surprise that pure organizers are outperforming integrated companies in both revenue growth and profitability: ☑️ The Top-40 companies achieved an average annual revenue growth rate of approximately 4% between 2010 and 2024, with a slowdown during COVID years. (pic. 1) ☑️This growth reflects a mix of high-single-digit (6%) growth for pure organizers and low-single-digit (3%) growth for venue owners. (pic. 2). Pure organizers rebounded more quickly from the COVID crisis. ☑️Looking ahead, we project the global exhibition market to grow at an annual rate of 4% from 2024 to 2030, with the Top-40 expected to outperform the market average. (pic. 3) Specifically, pure organizers are projected to grow at an annual rate of 7% to 8% during this period, marking a return to pre-COVID growth levels.🌱 If you’d like to explore the performance of the Top-40 companies in more detail, order your copy of this year’s Global Industry Performance Review: https://bit.ly/GIPR_2024 or reach out to Lorenzo Garbujo. #jwc #gipr #exhibitionindustry #marketknowledge #marketinsights #top40performance #eventprofs #marketreport #industryinsights

Retaining and attracting talent - a key challenge and an opportunity — for the exhibition industry to enhance its visibility as a career destination.
Did you know? The workforce of the Top 40 exhibition companies remains below pre-COVID levels, yet total labor costs have risen by 12%. This underscores a significant shift: the industry is now offering higher salaries. This trend stems from efforts to attract talent from outside the sector and remain competitive in the ongoing race for top talent. Nevertheless, despite its highly appealing work environment and economic importance, the exhibition industry remains largely overlooked as a desirable career choice. One key reason is that while we focus on marketing our event brands, the process of event creation and the companies behind the organization remain largely unknown. Those outside the industry would likely have difficulty naming the leading players. To remain competitive with other industries, exhibition companies should significantly enhance their brand presence across all media, increasing awareness within the talent community. For more insights into trends like this, check out jwc’s Global Annual Performance Review (GIPR): 👉 bit.ly/GIPR_2024 Or get in touch with us to learn more about the industry findings we gathered! #ExhibitionIndustry #MarketInsights #jwc #EventBusiness #SectorAnalysis #MarketKnowledge #DecisionMaking #IndustryTrends #EventProfs

Did you know that jwc GmbH’s #GIPR annual industry report includes price level comparisons for exhibition space globally 🌍? Exhibition space across different regions shows significant variability, with notable differences among countries within the same region. Eg. Region 1 stands out as the region with the highest 🏆 price per square meter, underscoring its status as a premium market, primarily due to its partially limited venue availability. Following Region 1, Region 2 has comparatively high prices 💰, while Region 3 and 4 are trailing behind. Region 3 exhibits considerable price variability; however, reported price levels are heavily influenced by one particular market. At country level, Country 1 leads globally with the highest average square meter price. In contrast, major markets in one certain region offer more affordable averages. If you are interested in finding out exactly what's going on in these regions and countries, secure your copy of this year’s ‘Global Industry Performance Review‘: https://bit.ly/GIPR_2024 or reach out to Lorenzo Garbujo. 📖The report also explores the pricing of exhibition space for key events worldwide, providing the industry's most comprehensive analysis of pricing structures. #jwc #gipr #industryknowledge #youcannotaffordtomissthis #exhibitionindustry #supportforyourdecisionmaking #eventprofessionals #miceindustry

This is long overdue: Thanks to the organizers of the first #InternationalMICESummit in Riyadh 🙏 and Kudos to the entire team! Truly amazing how #Scega made this event happen in only 3 months 🚀. It has been a privilege to speak at the event! 🎤 Some takeaways: 1. Riyadh appears to lead the world in construction activity, with its skyline dominated by high-rise cranes 🏗️. 2. Saudi Arabia stands out as the GCC country with the largest captive market, the highest population, and the strongest GDP 💰📊. 3. The country is shifting its focus away from hydrocarbons to diversify its economy 🌱. 4. The exhibition and conference industry is rapidly expanding 📅, with numerous international organizers introducing new events to the Kingdom 🌍. RX, Messe Munich, Clarion, Fiera Milano, Messe Dusseldorf and Koelnmesse have announced their market entry 🚢. We anticipate the exhibition industry will grow by at least 10% annually 📈 in the coming years, assuming adequate venue capacity is available 🏢. 5. While venue space remains limited 🚧, upcoming global events like the World Expo 🌐 and the FIFA World Cup ⚽ are expected to drive significant capacity expansions. 6. Although Riyadh will continue to be the primary hub for exhibitions and conferences 🏙️, all 13 regions of the Kingdom are actively prioritizing the development of this sector 🛠️, with new venues emerging across the country. 7. Saudi Arabia is poised to become the leading competitor to the UAE in the Middle East's exhibition and conference industry 🌟. 8. “The term MICE is a misconception” – Sherrif Karamat H.E.
