𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 ☀️🚢   This week, the installation of 24 solar hatches with each 8 solar panels began on our newbuild ship for our dry shipping area. In contrast to our newbuild ship Helios, which we already equipped with solar panels last year, the solar energy generated here will not only be used for the on-board power supply in future, but also for the ship's propulsion system - an important step towards a sustainable energy supply! 🌱⚡ ➡️ Depending on the hours of sunshine, up to 37,342 kWh of energy can be generated and 36 tons of CO2 saved per year.   And where does the sun go if not on the deck of our ships?   Thanks to our suppliers and partners Blommaert Aluminium Constructions and Wattlab for the excellent cooperation!   #sustainability #energysupply #HGKShipping #shipping

🌍 𝗟𝗼𝘄-𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘀 🚢💧   A lack of meltwater from the Alps and little rain in February and March are already causing low water levels in our rivers. In Duisburg-Ruhrort, the #Rhine level is currently around 2.50 m. Our #low-water vessels offer us a reliable and sustainable solution even in times like these.   Thanks to their special design, these ships are lighter, wider and shallower than conventional ships. Their propulsion function has also been adapted to work efficiently even at extremely low water levels. They can even be used at a #level of just 40 centimetres at the Cologne level - a performance that exceeds normal shipping traffic.   🔹 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁? In times when the Rhine can become a logistical challenge due to low water levels, low-water vessels offer a sustainable and future-oriented solution. They make it possible to carry out important deliveries even in difficult times and minimize the risk of delivery failures. 🎤 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀? „𝗛𝗚𝗞-𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗸𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝘁” 𝗠𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲 𝟯 🚀 How can I express myself clearly and understandably? How do I avoid misunderstandings? And what happens when words are no longer enough? 🤔 These questions were the focus of the third module of the "HGK-Talent Werkstatt", and the participants faced these #challenges with full #motivation! ✨ Communication is more than just the spoken word - this was particularly evident in the 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲-𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲𝘀.   The participants dealt intensively with the 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗿-𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹 in order to understand both the perspective of the sender and the receiver. The aim was to recognize misunderstandings and develop solutions to them. In #roleplays on the topics of “active listening”, “targeted questions” and “I-messages”, the participants developed their #communication skills in small groups and took their #conversation skills to a new level. 💡 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱? ➜ Communication happens all the time - even without words. ➜ Listening requires more than just listening - it is a true art. ➜ Misunderstandings can arise quickly, but #solutions are always within reach! 📍 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁? On 𝟮𝟱 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰, we will continue with the topic “#Project 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁” - ideal for anyone who wants to learn how to organize #ideas, lead teams efficiently and make #projects a success.
