That’s one of our strengths. 😉 Girls’ Day is a nationwide initiative designed to encourage girls to explore careers in science and technology – fields where women are still underrepresented. Hands-on experience across seven interactive stations. From engraving and media design to IT and technical editing, participants got to dive into real-world tasks – guided by our experienced G+D colleagues. We are growing – with new offices in Spain! 🇪🇸🎉 Recently, we celebrated the inauguration of our new location in Sant Joan Despí in the Barcelona province. We were honored to be joined by the Mayor, Belén García, who opened the event, followed by speeches from Philipp Schulte, CEO of G+D Mobile Security, Marian von Mitschke-Collande, Member of the Advisory and Supervisory Board, and Andres Garcia, Managing Director of G+D Iberia. Afterwards, our colleagues enjoyed a beautiful event with live music, excellent food, and inspiring conversations. Additionally, we had the pleasure of giving a guided tour to everyone who hadn’t yet visited the new facilities, showcasing our modern workspaces and highlighting the innovative features of the space, such as a spacious cafeteria and dining area, a gym, and collaboration zones. Imagine machine-to-machine payments without an Internet connection. Sounds impossible, right? Not anymore! 🤚DG Nexolution, DZ BANK AG, Festo and G+D have developed a prototype solution to enable secure M2M transactions using tokenized deposits, also known as Commercial Bank Money Token (CBMT). CBMTs bridge the gap between traditional financial systems and the new possibilities offered by distributed ledger technologies (DLT). They form a tokenized equivalent of money held in bank accounts, enabling programmable, secure, and transparent transactions with a focus on corporate payments. 💸 CBMTs are extremely versatile and have the potential to transform payments by enabling autonomous M2M payments, usage-based payment models, or micropayments. Their offline capabilities allow payments to be made anytime, anywhere - without relying on an internet connection. This is critical for industries operating in scenarios such as remote areas, high-security environments, where online access may be restricted, or during network outages. We started this project to demonstrate the practicality of CBMTs. Now we're working on the next steps with our partners to advance the technology and are excited to see these and other new use cases emerge.
