Bormioli Pharma added significantly to our reported Q1 2025 revenues and adjusted EBITDA.  On an organic basis, we recorded a slow start in Q1 2025 but will resume our growth from Q2 onwards. Organic growth in 2025 will mainly be driven by further ramp-ups from our growth projects, a continuing shift to high value solutions and the return to normal operations in Lohr (furnace exchange) and Morganton (restoration after the flooding). In Q1 2025 we recorded a jump in revenue and earnings due to the first-time consolidation of Bormioli Pharma. Reported revenues in the first quarter of 2025 rose by 11.6% to EUR 520.1 million, while adjusted EBITDA increased by 13.1% to EUR 91.5 million. The organic development compared to the pro forma figures for the prior-year quarter shows a decline and reflects a shift in revenues in the syringe business and subdued demand for moulded glass especially from the cosmetics sector. We are currently rebuilding our glass melting furnace at the Gerresheimer Lohr plant, embracing the latest technology with the installation of a hybrid furnace from Horn Glass Industries AG! What exactly is a hybrid furnace? The oxyfuel hybrid furnace is a revolutionary advancement in glass melting technology for lime soda glass large-scale furnaces. It combines traditional combustion with a highly increased proportion of electric power of up to 50%. Additionally, the overall energy efficiency is improved as less air needs to be pre-warmed and the thermal heat loss is reduced.
