This World Kidney Day, we took action! Throughout March, teams across 23 countries hosted health screenings and awareness events, making an impact globally. From Germany to Malaysia, Peru, India, and Mexico, we reached approximately 73% of our global workforce with blood pressure checks, urine tests, and educational sessions, reinforcing the importance of early detection and proactive health management. 🌍🩺    At our headquarters in Bad Homburg, Germany, CEO Helen Giza and our Management Board led by example by participating in the screenings and inspiring colleagues worldwide.    A big thank you to everyone who made this initiative possible, from our local teams who organized events to every employee who took part. Yesterday marked an important day for Fresenius Medical Care. We held our first Global Town Hall of 2025 live from our headquarters here in Bad Homburg, Germany, and proudly commemorated World Kidney Day, a cause central to everything we do.   During the Town Hall, I was honored to share the stage with a dialysis patient benefiting from HighVolumeHDF (HVHDF) therapy – a groundbreaking treatment expected to come to the U.S. by the end of the year. This milestone is poised to change the U.S. dialysis landscape and set a new standard of patient care.   In support of this year’s World Kidney Day, together with Fresenius Group we set up kidney-screenings around our offices and clinics for employees, supporting this year’s World Kidney Day theme: "Are your kidneys OK? Detect Early, Protect Kidney Health." It served as a powerful reminder of the life-saving importance of early detection and intervention. I encourage everyone to take a moment to reflect on their kidney health. The simple question can spark awareness and action that may make all the difference.   Whether you attended the Global Town Hall or participated in World Kidney Day in your own way, yesterday truly underscored our shared mission: Creating a future worth living. Today, we recognize three extraordinary women who changed the face of healthcare and proved that empowered women truly power the world! 💪🌍 Else Kröner (1925-1988) – A visionary entrepreneur who helped build Fresenius Medical Care into a global leader in healthcare. The Else Kröner-Fresenius-Foundation supports medical research and humanitarian projects, empowering lives around the world. Mary Eliza Mahoney (1845-1926) – The first African American licensed nurse in the U.S., who broke racial barriers in healthcare and inspired future generations. Florence Nightingale (1820-1910) – The founder of modern nursing, who transformed patient care with compassion, courage, and science.
