Grid operators are facing growing challenges: more electricity, more flexibility, more precision. naturenergie netze is addressing these demands in partnership with #Entegra, #Eplan, and #Rittal – to digitally transform its transformer substations. ⚡ A key part of this journey is the use of Eplan Electric P8 and Eplan Pro Panel to plan its secondary technology, i.e. its control technology. Simon Rümmele, grid development project leader at naturenergie netze, was responsible for this and is still in charge today. “With Eplan, we can drive forward the standardisation and more efficient engineering of the secondary technology – as well as end-to-end planning that we can also use during the operation phase for preventive maintenance and overhauls,” he says. By applying proven methods from mechanical engineering – like the digital twin – the team lays the foundation for scalable and future-ready substation concepts. The digital twin 🧑🤝🧑 forms the basis for standardised, scalable solutions in the 110 kV range. By relying on predefined concepts and adaptable variants, planning and implementation times can be significantly reduced – a necessary step, as the majority of substations will need to meet new grid requirements in the near future. "The sector needs to standardise much more than it has in the past. We are providing support and are delighted to have found an innovative partner in naturenergie netze.
