Unlocking a new level of productivity in manual assembly with the power of computer vision and AI-based analytics

Info

AI-based process analytics platform to increase productivity and quality in manual shop-floor processes. Processes are captured using computer vision and automatically analysed with a highly flexible AI to identify improvement potential. 1. Real-time capture with cameras Cameras are installed at individual assembly stations capturing live video streams of assembly or packaging tasks. 2. AI tracks material & work steps Video streams are continuously analyzed to detect workpiece movements, cycle times, and work step sequencing. 3. Aggregation for data analysis Process data is aggregated per article and production to provide insights on process performance. Video snippets allow for a comprehensive root-cause analysis. 4. Data-driven improvements Your factory managers and process engineers define, implement and measure process improvements to increase productivity and quality in your assembly line.

US manufacturers! One lean leader was able to secure a raise in 6 months with this AI stack. Now so can you. You’re being asked to deliver more output, faster, with fewer people and tighter budgets. But most continuous improvement efforts are still stuck in the slow lane—manual observations, disconnected data, and fixes that don’t scale. That’s where AI changes the game. In our next webinar we’ll walk you through an immediately-adoptable workflow: 🚀 Identify inefficiencies without hours on the floor 📊 Auto-generate reports and action items in minutes 📈 Show measurable impact that gets noticed in leadership reviews This isn’t theory. These tools are already helping CI teams accelerate impact—and prove it. One workflow. One AI stack. Six months to value. Join us if you're ready to stop tracking improvement and start owning it.

The future of European manufacturing won’t be decided in 10 years. It’s being shaped right now. Maximilian Fischer is joining The Merantix AI Breakfast in Berlin next week — the largest AI networking series in the city — for a special edition focused on The Future of Manufacturing in Europe. We’ll be diving into:  🔹 The role of AI in driving factory resilience 🔹 How European manufacturers can compete globally 🔹 Where automation and sustainability intersect With a brilliant group of panelists: Bosse Rothe Fernanda Aguiar Jonas Schneider Adrian Locher   At Deltia, we’re seeing firsthand how real-time process visibility and AI-driven improvement loops are reshaping factory floors — but it’s just the beginning. Let us know in the comments if you’ll be there!

31 vs. 18 trips away per shift—small movements, big impact. We fixed it.  ⚙️ On a fast-moving production line, even minor inefficiencies can cause major slowdowns. In one of our recent projects, two highly interdependent stations were meant to run at similar cycle times, but frequent interruptions were throwing off the balance—leading to delays, inconsistent output, and lost efficiency. Despite full operator staffing, non-value-added tasks—like material replenishment—were disrupting workflow, creating unpredictable cycle time variations and reducing overall throughput. A detailed spaghetti diagram of operator movements revealed key differences: one station had 31 trips away from the work area per shift, while another had 23 or even just 18. These variations in movement—though seemingly small—were silently impacting cycle time and production efficiency. What We Did: ✅ Worked closely with the internal team to track disruptions in real-time. ✅ Mapped operator movements using a spaghetti diagram to pinpoint inefficiencies. ✅ Uncovered the root cause – One station consistently achieved best-practice cycle times (1:18–1:19 minutes), while the other suffered from frequent delays. ✅ Standardized best practices to ensure a smoother, more predictable production flow. By making small but targeted adjustments, we eliminated unnecessary delays, stabilized cycle times, and boosted production efficiency—all without additional costs. This project reinforced a key lesson: sustainable efficiency gains don’t always require big investments—sometimes, they come from refining the details. Just got back from Ludwigsburg after attending FABRIK DES JAHRES where I was representing Deltia — it was a genuinely rewarding experience to meet some real industry people. There were plenty of insightful discussions, and I really enjoyed hearing from fellow presenters about the challenges and innovations shaping manufacturing today. I also had the opportunity to share a bit about our work with ABB and Viessmann Climate Solutions, showcasing how improvement teams across Europe are using Deltia to drive real-time optimization on the shop floor. With 2025 approaching and significant shifts happening in the European market, now is a crucial time for manufacturers to invest in saving both time and money — and #AI is playing a key role in making that possible.
