The team of our Commodity Purchasing Metal in the business division Exterior helps to ensure that this is exactly what happens.💪 Franziska Tänzer and her colleagues conduct strategic negotiations with suppliers and are responsible for the efficient #procurement of raw materials and consumables. This reduces material costs and optimizes operating costs. Each of the seven team members is responsible for their own product groups and conducts price discussions, identifies potential savings or prepares reports and benchmarks in their area of responsibility. 📊 When asked how the role of a #buyer will change and evolve in the future, the answer is clear to all: issues such as sustainability, cyber security and data-driven working are becoming increasingly important. 🌱🔒📈 Building trusted relationships with suppliers also remains essential. 🤝 Our Commodity Purchasing Metal team is made up of colleagues from different professional backgrounds, which brings divers perspectives to the day-to-day work. We are moving our SAP systems to the cloud - this year! 📢 Within a few months, we will be migrating all of our sites, plants, and business units worldwide to SAP Business Suite and the Amazon Web Service cloud. A particular challenge is the migration of our 16 time-critical just-in-sequence manufacturing sites.   💬"This project is not only a #milestone for our company, but also for the entire #industry," says our CIO Christian Ley. A 20-year journey of #leadership, #people, and #change: Our colleague Lisa Basila, CHRS can already look back on a long career at Brose.💪 It all started in 2005 when she joined the company as a quality assistant. Four years later, she moved to the HR department and has made an exemplary progress since then. She took on her first leadership role as HR Manager at our plant in Jefferson in 2013. A step she had great respect for at the time, as she tells us. But it is precisely these challenging experiences that have made her what she is today: Vice President Human Resources for Brose America. 🚀😊 For Lisa Basila, CHRS, the HR department is a real business partner function, which should focus on what can be created and achieved – even in hard times. She says the same about personal career development: “I always encourage people to reflect on what they truly want, to challenge themselves, and to be open to the unexpected.
