🎶 A cultural experience to spark joy, imagination—and togetherness 🎶 As part of the Brainlab Culture Program, we recently hosted a special family concert at our Munich headquarters: “The Legend of the Sound Crystal – An Adventure in Harmonia”, created in collaboration with Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now München e.V. This immersive concert invited children and their families—many of whom don’t often have the opportunity to attend live performances—into a magical world of music and storytelling. It was a joyful moment of cultural connection, curiosity and shared experience. Working with a partner like Live Music Now Munich is especially meaningful to us: For 32 years, this volunteer-run organization has brought live music to people who—due to their life circumstances—have limited access to cultural events, while also supporting young, highly talented musicians at the start of their careers. A heartfelt thank-you to the team at Live Music Now and to the incredible artists of Trio Merak for bringing the story of Harmonia to life: 🎹 Boris Knezevic (Piano) 🥁 Cristina Lehaci (Percussion) 🥁 Moritz Knapp (Percussion) Supporting initiatives like this is at the heart of the Brainlab Culture Program. We believe that creativity and innovation go hand in hand—and that everyone should have the chance to experience the inspiration of live art and music. 🎵 Learn more about the event: 🔗 https://bit.ly/3DKZQJX #BrainlabCultureProgram #WeAreBrainlab #Familienkonzert #MusicForAll Image rights: ©LMN / Fabian Helmich

From Europe to Tanzania—a journey of neurosurgical impact! 🌍🧠 We’re excited to share the positive impact of Brainlab technology at the 11th MOI Global Neurosurgery Course in Tanzania, where Brainlab colleagues Kevin Kuhn, advanced project engineer, and Marek Soczyński, application specialist, were on the ground to support the local team. Thanks to the donation from Right.Brain Foundation e.V. over a year ago, the Muhimbili Orthopaedic Institute (MOI) is already equipped with Brainlab spine surgery solutions. Now, we’re taking it a step further by installing cranial surgery solutions to further enhance their capabilities. Surgeons at MOI are already seeing the difference as they work with both our spine and newly installed cranial navigation software. The cranial navigation software will allow the local team to refine their skills in precise pre-op and peri-op planning, improving their ability to navigate complex brain anatomy. With the support of our team, these tools are helping improve surgical precision and enhance both training and patient care. Mariam Mzingi, MD, neurosurgery resident at Muhimbili Orthopaedic Institute shared: "Technology has always been somewhat of an issue in this part of the world, but with a designated team, everything is possible. We are taking it as a challenge and are looking forward to seeing where the technology will take us."💬 The feedback from the local team has been incredible, and we’re proud to continue supporting their journey toward better healthcare in Tanzania. ✨ To learn more and support the Right.Brain Foundation e.V. mission, visit: https://bit.ly/3FOZH93 Special thanks to the team onsite: Marta Garvayo and Romani Sabas #neurosurgery #globalhealth #medtech #tanzania

Science and art unite in a creative symphony 🎶🔬 Over the past week, the Themenkonzerte at Brainlab HQ in Munich, Germany brought together the power of music and the depth of cognitive science. The performances, paired with insightful lectures, explored the connections between music, memory, perception, and even the science of sleep. A big thank you to the Bayerische Staatsoper and the artists from the Bayerisches Staatsorchester for their exceptional musical performances, as well as to the brilliant scientific speakers who contributed to the success of this concert series. We were honored to have Prof. Eckart Altenmüller, MD, former Director of the Institute for Music Physiology and Musicians’ Medicine at Hanover University of Music, Drama, and Media; Hans-Günter Weeß, PhD, Clinical Psychologist, Psychotherapist, and Sleep Specialist at Pfalzklinikum Klingenmünster; and Prof. Stefan Kölsch, PhD, Medical Psychologist and Music Psychologist at the University of Bergen, Norway, join us for this incredible experience. A special highlight was the performance of selected works by Thomas Larcher, paving the way for the premiere of his chamber opera DAS JAGDGEWEHR (2018), which will take place during the JA, MAI FESTIVAL on May 2, 2025. The concerts provided a thought-provoking journey into how music shapes our memories and emotions, acting as a bridge between perception, cognition, and artistic expression. Looking forward to many more moments where creativity and innovation inspire progress!✨ 🎵 Learn more about the Brainlab Culture Program on our website: https://lnkd.in/g4QC4Qnz #BrainlabCultureProgram #BSO2425 #BSOfestival #BSOjamai
