Around 800 Bilfinger employees work in 📍 Herøya, covering services for #maintenance, #modifications, #engineering and #projects. It is our largest site in Norway and we are proud of the close relationships we have built and maintained with local customers like Yara International for decades. 🤝 While looking back on a rich history in this region, yesterday we focused on talking about the future: ✨ As the main onshore industrial cluster in Norway, the region has nationwide significance. Due to the energy transition and an increased #electrification of the process industry, it is also a region with particularly high power demand – and it is growing day by day. 🔋💡 How does the electricity grid need to develop to answer the industry’s needs in the future? 🤔🌐 Yesterday, representatives of Bilfinger, the Norwegian Government, Yara and Herøya Arbeiderforening met at Herøya industrial park to discuss the region’s opportunities and answer the questions of around 300 participants. 🎤💬 On stage with Terje Aasland, Norwegian’s Minister of Energy, and Yara CEO Svein Tore Holsether, Bilfinger Group CEO Thomas Schulz highlighted the positive impact of enhancing maintenance #efficiency as well as Bilfinger's strong presence and commitment to the region. Last week, colleagues from across our regions gathered in Amsterdam for the final module of the Senior Leadership Program 🌍. Building on learnings of the earlier module and coaching sessions, this module aimed to equip our senior leaders with the tools and insights necessary to drive change, empowerment, and #transformation 🚀. In addition, the highlight was an inspiring speech from Steven van Oeveren, Region CFO Bilfinger E&M BeNe, who shared his personal stories, #leadership mentality, and practical development tools he applies in his daily work 🎤. From Bilfinger for Bilfinger and for customers: Our candidates successfully completed training week #2️⃣ of the 7th wave of Lean@Bilfinger – this time taking place in in Linz, Austria (Bilfinger Region DACH). During this week, the candidates were able to learn more about problem-solving techniques and the PDCA problem-solving cycle. 💡 Solving problems also means presenting to and convincing people – therefore soft skills, particularly "train the trainer" and presentation techniques are important. 💬 Every time we see the great development 🚀 and results of the candidates, it is further proof of why investing in these trainings is valuable for our colleagues, Bilfinger and for our customers. 💪 #TeamBilfinger Now we are looking forward to the last training week in Regensburg, Germany. The highlight will be solving and presenting a real business case to our new colleagues at our new site. ✨Impressions from the Bilfinger #TalentProgram 🚀 In February, over 80 Bilfinger colleagues participated in Module 2 of the Bilfinger Talent Program in Kamp-Lintfort, Germany. Divided into three groups, they engaged in problem-solving and team-building exercises over three days. 💬✍ A key highlight was an outdoor challenge that emphasized cooperation, trust, and resilience — skills vital for the workplace. 💪 Additionally, Fireside Chats offered participants the chance to discuss #growth, #career, #team performance, and work-life balance with senior Bilfinger colleagues.
