Five years ago, The Copper Mark was launched to foster responsible copper production across the metals industry. Aurubis was one of its earliest supporters — and today, we are proud to be among the frontrunners in implementing the Copper Mark across our smelter network. ✅ Today, more than 95% of our cathode output fulfills the Copper Mark standard. 🥇 Aurubis Bulgaria was the first primary smelter to receive the Copper Mark. Aurubis Stolberg GmbH & Co. KG is the first rolling mill worldwide to receive the Copper Mark as a semi-fabricator. Most recently, Aurubis Beerse received the Copper Mark with additional awards for nickel and zinc. 🌱 These achievements underline our commitment to a sustainable and transparent copper value chain — and reflect the progress we’ve made under our sustainability pledge “Tomorrow Metals”. 38% of globally mined copper is currently produced by Copper Mark-assured sites. Primary raw materials will remain essential to meet future demand — making responsible sourcing standards more relevant than ever. Today’s Annual General Meeting of Aurubis AG highlighted that we are committed to deliver in line with our strategic growth agenda — for our shareholders, customers, our stakeholders, and the future of sustainable metallurgy. Our CEO, Dr. Toralf Haag, emphasized the key role Aurubis plays in Europe’s economic sovereignty: “Our multimetals are the foundation for the energy and mobility transition — indispensable for green technologies, digitalization, and innovation.” With more than €1 billion already invested in strategic projects, we are consistently delivering on our strategy Metals for Progress: Driving Sustainable Growth. Projects in Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, and the US demonstrate how we are expanding our capabilities in recycling, sustainability, and international presence. The results of the past fiscal year and the outlook for 2024/25 underline our resilience and long-term focus: 🔹 FY 2023/24: 19 % increase in operating EBT to €413 million 🔹 Positive outlook for FY 2024/25 despite global challenges 🔹 Clear commitment to sustainability, circularity, and responsible sourcing 🔹 Dividend increase by €0.10 to a total of €1.50 per share, reflecting the solid performance Aurubis is becoming the most efficient and sustainable smelter network worldwide — and we are proud to share this journey with our shareholders, partners, and teams across all sites. Building one of the most integrated recycling facilities in Europe takes more than cutting-edge technology — it takes seamless collaboration and a shared safety mindset. That’s what brought us together for the Supplier Day of the Complex Recycling Hamburg (CRH) project. At our Aurubis Hamburg site, we recently welcomed representatives of around 20 partner companies.  🦺 The focus: strengthening our joint commitment to occupational safety during the construction phase of the new recycling facility. With up to 300 workers on site and work being carried out at heights of up to 40 meters, clear communication and mutual responsibility are key. Our Supplier Day created a shared understanding of our safety requirements, our expectations – and above all, our culture of looking out for one another. ♻️ CRH is one of the most ambitious growth projects in our company’s history. Which copper grade is the best fit for laser-beam processing in large-scale hairpin stator production? Aurubis participated in an OEM-independent industry project to evaluate copper grades used in e-mobility stator manufacturing: Cu-OFE (oxygen-free) vs. Cu-ETP1 with varying oxygen levels. 🎯 The goal: Identify a material that meets technical requirements while also enabling scalable, cost-efficient production for the automotive industry. ✅ The outcome: All oxygen levels deliver excellent weld quality and high electrical conductivity. However, Cu-ETP1 with reduced oxygen levels and LimOx | LimOx+ offer clear advantages for OEMs: ➕ Significantly higher productivity in wire rod production. ➕ Potential for cost savings. ➕ Strong availability. ➕ Outstanding suitability for the enameling process. 📌 Our conclusion: While oxygen-free copper is often seen as the premium choice, Cu-ETP1 and LimOx | LimOx+ are the smarter option for industrialized, high-volume hairpin stator manufacturing. 💡 Want to know more? Aurubis is honored to be shortlisted for the World Hydrogen Awards 2025 (World Hydrogen Summit & Exhibition) in the category Industrial Application!
