He highlights Munich’s top universities, thriving start-up scene, and the international talent it attracts.    Zhaopeng draws from personal experience: having worked at the German Aerospace Center in Oberpfaffenhofen for many years before founding Agile Robots in 2018, he is deeply familiar with the local ecosystem and has called Munich home for over 15 years.    Today, Agile Robots employs over 2,300 employees from over 60 different nationalities – many of them based in Germany.    If you would like to find out more about our story, as well as the huge potential of AI and robotics for Germany, click on the link in the comments below.    #AgileRobots #automation #robotics #focusmagazin

  • Yesterday, we welcomed Mayr Antriebstechnik to our production site in Kaufbeuren!   Mayr, a leading manufacturer of safety brakes, torque limiters and shaft couplings, toured our facility as part of their international sales meeting.    “Since our international sales team gathers only once every three to four years, we wanted to make this occasion special and turned to Agile Robots. Given that Mayr is also based in the Allgäu region and robotics is one of our core target markets, the factory tour was a perfect fit – and allowed us to gain first-hand insights into the production of state-of-the-art robotic systems” explains Bernd Merk, CSO at Mayr Antriebstechnik.     Leading a group of about 75 visitors, our Head of New Product Introduction and Operations Kaufbeuren, Andreas Kühn, offered an in-depth tour of our facility, explaining each stage of the production process in detail.    During his subsequent presentation, he also highlighted the essential contributions to quality management, R&D, and prototype development of our production site in Kaufbeuren.   Thank you for the visit. It was a pleasure having you!   #AgileRobots #mayr #engineering #automation #manufacturing

  • 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲. Our Vice President Operations, Rory Sexton, spoke to FOCUS Magazin last week! The business segment of the news magazine explored the German robotics scene – and its potential to support the German economy. While exploring Agile Robots’ impressive growth in size and revenue, the article also sheds light on Rory’s personal journey: From managing procurement and operations for Apple in China to joining Agile Robots in Munich in February 2023. His deep expertise and extensive network are crucial in helping Agile Robots drive innovation and efficiency across various industries, including consumer electronics and automotive. Today, Agile Robots is establishing factories worldwide, many of which are completed in under five months. In the interview, Rory also emphasizes the importance of a holistic approach to automation, highlighting Germany’s potential: “Robotics alone is not the answer. It is the fusion with the AI ecosystem. This can be a success story for Germany." Less than two weeks left!    On April 9th, we’ll present our results from the Robotics Challenge at ARENA2036!   𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲?  The fully automated production of a wire harness module.    Despite being instrumental to every car by facilitating communication and energy flow between all electrical and electronic components, wire harness assembly remains one of the least automated tasks in the industry.    To address this, Transformations-Hub Leitungssatz initiated the challenge aimed at discovering innovative solutions.   𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗮𝘀𝗸𝘀: • Properly identifying and positioning the connector housing into a socket • The insertion of various contact parts into the connector housing according to a specified chamber configuration • Confirming that the contacts are properly latched in their end position   All tasks require a high degree of precision and dexterity.    That’s where our solution comes into play!   We're excited to present our innovative approach, featuring two of our highly accurate Diana 7 robots, cutting-edge computer vision and AI-driven image processing algorithms.    Visit us at the ARENA2036 campus on April 9th in Stuttgart to see it firsthand.   Find the free registration link in the comments section below.   #AgileRobots #RobotikChallenge #automation #robotics #artificialintelligence

𝗧𝗵𝗲 "𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗼𝘄𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗜".    That’s how many AI experts and enthusiasts referred to the NVIDIA GTC 2025. We couldn’t agree more!     The atmosphere, along with countless inspiring sessions, exhibits, and hands-on training opportunities, made this year’s NVIDIA GTC a memorable experience.     The Robotics booth, featuring our intelligent automation solutions, perfectly embodied this mix of AI innovation and practical application - as did our advanced teleoperation.     𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀:   • A human operator controls a dual-arm robot, made up of two Diana 7 robots, by moving two Franka Research 3 robots. • The dual-arm robot mimics the operator’s movements and actions in real-time, using two anthropomorphic Agile Hands. • During the operation, sensor data, camera images, and control inputs are captured. • In addition, we use NVIDIA's Isaac Sim to increase the gathered data by teleoperating a virtual robot. • The sensor data and images provide critical information about the robot's movements, interactions with objects, and environmental awareness. • Control inputs from the operator are logged to map specific actions to robot movements.    𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀: • This data, unlike physics-based simulations, captures real-world scenarios, making it especially valuable in rare situations where the robot must handle unpredictable or complex conditions. • It enables more accurate AI training, learning from human expertise. • This results in enhanced performance, adaptability, and decision-making in dynamic environments.    By using this data, the robot gradually becomes more autonomous, improving its precision, adaptability, and ability to handle complex tasks without direct human control.     Thank you to the many visitors who came by our joint booth with Franka Robotics! It was a pleasure connecting with you!     #AgileRobots #NVIDIA #GTC2025 #ai #automation
