Ball Park Music scored their first #1 album this week, as #LikeLove (via Inertia Music/Prawn Records) debuts at the top of the #ARIA Albums Chart (dated April 14th), ahead of Sabrina Carpenter and Tate McRae. #BallParkMusic have released eight studio albums, seven of which have reached the top 10. Big win from team Germany as Steven Wilson's "The Overview" (via Fiction Records) rises to the top of the Official Albums Chart 🇩🇪
We made it! I'm incredibly stoked to announce that in an exceptional Team Effort we made it to number 1 in this weeks Official Album Charts in Germany with Steven Wilsons new Solo-Record & Masterpiece "The Overview", released on Fiction Records & Virgin Music Group. It is Steven Wilsons first #1 in Germany outside his involvement with his renowed Band Porcupine Tree, so we are extra proud we could make this happen. It is Stevens third Solo Record I was able to work on as the German Marketing Lead of the Campaign, and it is an honor and pleasure to have contributed to this incredible success. Especially in a Campaign like this with an Album that is turning away from the classical Track-Structure, consisting of two 18-23-Minute Tracks and no classic Pre-Release Singles, it took us some special strategies to make this happen. In a combination of several handtailored online- & offline Activations, handpicked Retail Partners and a selected team of Experts we were able to make this happen, always focussing on a cross-territorial, pan-european and global exchange within the Virgin Music Marketing and Commercial Teams. Big Thanks go out to our exceptional PR Teams. First of all Kathrin Adams, who delivered Stevens first Solo Top 300 APC Radio Entry. With the help of our PR Team Promotion-Werft (Daniela Duessler, Thorsten Stark) we secured several huge Press Pieces, including the Cover of Visions Magazin. With our Retail Partners at Rough Trade Germany, Dussmann & JPC on our side, Fans got the opportunity to experience special Moments together with their Idol, and purchase special, limited HQ-Audio-& Merchandise Products. With the Help of Amazon Music Germany we were able to develop Steven Wilsons Streaming Consumption even further.
