Open source has been a key accelerant driving the rapid pace of AI innovation, with Broadcom partners such as NVIDIA, AMD, Intel Corporation, Meta, Microsoft, OpenAI and Google making major contributions. Academic institutions and long-time collaborators such as University of California, Berkeley have also played a major role, with projects such as Ray, vLLM, and Chatbot Arena coming out of the Sky Computing Lab. Today, I'm thrilled to share that Broadcom is making a $4 million dollar donation to further accelerate the mission of UC Berkeley's Sky Computing Lab to enable open AI ecosystems.
