Njinda Salome: Championing Innovation and Inclusion in Tech In Cameroon’s growing tech ecosystem, one name continues to shine brightly: Njinda Salome a dynamic full-stack web developer and fierce advocate for women in technology. With a deep passion for crafting innovative web solutions and a mission to bridge gender gaps in the industry, Salome is redefining what it means to be a tech leader in today’s digital world. Salome is using her skills in front-end and back-end development to solve real-world business problems. Her current role as Project and Business Manager at Samaritan LTD places her at the forefront of strategic planning, community engagement, and digital content creation. “Guide the strategic direction of the organization, aligning teams with the vision, while maintaining a strong presence in the community to foster relationships and partnerships,” she shares. Before stepping into her present role, Salome honed her skills through several hands-on internships. As a Software Developer Intern at Tech Chantier, she contributed to developing Nguava, a platform for digital product sales using React. Salome learned PHP (Laravel) and developed a phone book application, ensuring that all contact information is saved in the database. Earlier in 2024, her time as a Frontend Developer Intern at Micro Tech allowed her to collaborate on an event planning application, while also sharpening her problem-solving skills by tackling algorithms on HackerRank. Beyond code, Salome brings a unique blend of tech and finance. In 2022, she interned at the Medium Size Taxpayers Office in Limbe, where she supported taxpayer record management and assisted in navigating Cameroon’s tax system. Her educational journey includes a Bachelor of Science in Banking and Finance from the University of Buea and a Full-Stack Web Development certification from DataGirl Technologies. In this institution, she now gives back as a volunteer tutor, helping to train the next generation of female developers. With expertise in tools like JavaScript (React), PHP (Laravel), HTML/CSS, and Tailwind/Bootstrap, Salome is well-versed in building scalable and responsive web applications. She’s also a regular on platforms like LinkedIn, where she shares her projects and engages with the global tech community. Fluent in English and equipped with strong communication and leadership skills, Njinda Salome is not just a developer – she’s a visionary leader, mentor, and change agent for young women aspiring to enter the tech industry.
