This week, the WBCSD Liaison Delegate Meeting 2025 brought together sustainability leaders from our global community to explore how businesses can push the boundaries of what they can achieve and deliver against transformation priorities in changing times. Thematic sessions and exclusive networking opportunities provided a powerful reminder that adaptability and bold leadership are key to driving meaningful impact when facing geopolitical headwinds, economic uncertainty and the need to accelerate decarbonization through value chains. Discussions on enablers of the transition featured the roles of policy, finance, education, and intelligent innovation and AI and how they can be effectively deployed. The path forward will require collective action to build a more sustainable and resilient future. JA Solar is advancing renewable energy solutions to help industries cut emissions and scale up clean energy adoption across global supply chains. Standardize CBAM: Boston Consulting Group (BCG) stressed the need for unified CBAM regulations to remove trade barriers and create fair global carbon markets. Adopt Digital Carbon Tracking: Innovations from Panasonic and BYD demonstrate the power of real-time emissions tracking - essential for transparency and accountability. Strengthen Cross-Border Collaboration: Partners like CCPIT Hubei and Hubei Hongtai Group are setting the example for fostering international cooperation to drive green transformation and sustainable supply chains.
