Could every bank and major financial institution soon issue its own digital currency? The $237.5B stablecoin market is exploding. Giants like Fidelity Investments plan to launch their own stablecoin, while Trump’s World Liberty Financial unveiled plans this week for a US Treasury-backed dollar stablecoin. During World Economic Forum at unDavos Summit I spoke on the panel “Stablecoins - Now, Next, Beyond” with: ▪️ Magnus Jones, Founder&CEO European Web3 Organization ▪️ Bernhard Schweizer, Head of SAP Digital Currency Hub ▪️ Halvor Bakke-Veiby, Co-Founder Riften labs ▪️ Timo Musiol, CFA, CFO Bitcoin Suisse AG 👉 Imagine paying suppliers instantly, 24/7, with near-zero fees—no borders, no intermediaries. That’s not a futuristic dream. It’s happening TODAY. 1️⃣ Corporate Adoption is HERE - SAP’s Digital Currency Hub processed a real-world payment for EY using PayPal’s stablecoin. Result? Instant settlement, slashed fees, and freed-up working capital. - Treasurers are unlocking billions by cutting 3-5 day payment delays. 2️⃣ DeFi’s Secret Weapon - Stablecoins now rival Visa in settlement volume ($10T+ annually). But 90% of transactions are bots trading—real-world use is just starting. 3️⃣ Regulation is a Double-Edged Sword - Europe’s MiCA rules are pushing innovators offshore (RIP XCHF 🇨🇭), but TradFi giants are stepping in. Euro stablecoins are coming—but only from big players who can afford compliance. 4️⃣ The Dollar’s Dominance vs. The Euro’s Identity Crisis - 99% of stablecoins are USD-backed. Where’s the euro? Stuck in regulatory limbo. Adoption is exploding in inflation-hit economies. Trust is shifting from banks to code. 5️⃣ The $1T Question: Who Do You Trust? -Tether’s $144B+ empire thrives on liquidity, not audits. But TradFi demands transparency. Enterprises need cash-equivalent stability—not crypto volatility. Stablecoins aren’t just for DeFi degens anymore. They’re rewriting the rules of: ✅ B2B Payments (Goodbye, 3-day ACH waits) ✅ Cross-Border Commerce (90% fee reduction?) ✅ Treasury Management (Turn working capital into a growth engine)

It’s been two months since I attended WEF in Davos, and conversations keep rising. At this year’s World Economic Forum, we at Gamegroove Capital hosted “Imaginary Reality, Real-World Consequences”—an official unDavos Summit panel exploring how AI, Web3, and digital ownership are transforming gaming and society. Key insights: 1. Web3 is going mainstream. Gunzilla Games , a Gamegroove portfolio company, launched the first AAA Web3-integrated game in October—now with 12M+ wallets. Players are embracing real digital ownership at scale. 2. The Metaverse is gaining traction. BORGET Sebastien from The Sandbox reported 580K+ players, 1M transactions, and 350K NFT sales in a single event. Branded virtual experiences are here to stay. 3. AI is changing how games are built—and played. Alan Lau shared that Animoca Brands is using AI to reduce dev costs, generate content, and create AI-driven avatars that can even play for users. 4. Security & ethics are critical. As Ignat Bobrovich from Vavlur.GG and Dr. Mihaela Ulieru from SingularityNET warned, with digital assets and AI in the mix, we need stronger safeguards to prevent theft, manipulation, and addiction. 5. Gaming is becoming a new layer of life. As ICB Verse put it: “In the morning, you go to the Metaverse. In the evening, you go back.” The boundaries between physical and digital are blurring fast.
