    A tour de force of savoir-faire, this new interpretation of the Panthère de Cartier watch demanded precise craftsmanship from the ateliers. The lacquer work is applied by hand and fired at high temperatures within the Maison des Métiers d'Art, the snow-setting of the dial is adorned with 145 brilliant-cut diamonds, the bracelet is entirely paved with 314 brilliant-cut diamonds and 86 spessartites, each link polished and set one by one.     Like a magician, Cartier transforms materials and shapes to bring forth an unexpected beauty. With the Tressage watch, gold, diamonds and stones are transfomed into a true watchmaking sculpture. “If Tressage is the perfect illustration of Cartier’s jewellery expertise in watchmaking, it is not simply a piece of jewellery that tells the time. For this creation, we exaggerated and amplified the classic attributes of a watch. By enlarging and elongating the brancards, we sculpted a voluptuous twist in volume.     At the Watches and Wonders salon in Geneva, the Maison welcomes visitors into a space that plays with the boundary between the visible and invisible to create an imaginary architecture that appears to be as much in metamorphosis as the latest creations.   Cartier presents these collections in unique spaces that further explore the theme of transformation through the metamorphosis of artistic media.   The parallel brancards and ever-changing rectangular form of the Tank are explored through a dynamic and minimalist installation. The animal motif of the Panthère de Cartier watch transforms from a mosaic into an organic, tactile zebra stripe.     We were delighted to hold the second edition of the « Cross-generational Dialogues », an original idea born out of the research conducted by the Gen Z Observatory, an initiative of the CartierESCP Business SchoolHEC Paris Turning Points Research Chair. Its focus on the Gen Z emphasized the need to invite other generations to the conversation, to foster a space of mutual learning and understanding. This year, the event brought together Cyrille Vigneron, Cartier Chairman of Culture & Philanthropy, the two co-scientific directors of the Chair, Anne Laure Sellier (HEC Paris) and Prof Ben Voyer (ESCP), Gen Z Observatory content curators and external experts who have explored the theme of « Commitment in the time of flexibility » on the campus of the ESCP Business School. Their conversations allowed to further build bridges between generations and shed the light on the insights of the Gen Z Observatory, a modern think-tank bringing together the two schools’ students and Cartier internal teams. These young innovators pushed boundaries and sparked conversations, with their presentations leveraging augmented reality and AI, and highlighting the Maison’s deep-rooted heritage to India.
