SHOP WITH A COP
The Casper Police Department, Natrona County Sheriff’s Office, Evansville, and Mills Police Departments welcome the opportunity to work with families in our community, especially those with underprivileged children who may not have the same opportunities as other children. Shop With A Cop is one of the ways we strive to strengthen our community and reach out to these families.
Our Departments strive to make this a positive experience for the children. In partnership with both Walmart Stores in Casper, children in need are able to purchase gifts for Christmas, including ones for themselves as well as other family members. Applications will be accepted at all Natrona County Law Enforcement Agencies and participating agencies to include, the Midwest Police Departments, Wyoming Highway Patrol, Wyoming Game and Fish, Natrona County Airport and US Customs.
Deadline for Applications is: November 22, 2024
Families notification will begin: Dec. 2, 2024
Shop With A Cop will be held on December 7th and 8th 2024
Criteria
Children must be 3-12 years old to participate.
Family resides in Natrona County.
Child must be able to separate from families while shopping.
Child must be present on the shopping day in order to receive a gift card.
A committee will make selections from the applications based on information received through applications. Families who have not participated before will be given priority, however all applications will be given serious consideration. Given the popularity of the program, we may have more applicants than openings.

The City of Casper has passed an ordinance requiring private residences and businesses to obtain a permit to install and maintain alarm systems within the city limits, effective January 1, 2023. The purpose of the ordinance is to establish reasonable standards for users and ensure alarm owners are accountable for the proper operation of their alarm systems. The Public Safety community recognizes that false alarms place significant burdens on local law enforcement resources responding to false alarm calls. The city recognizes the importance of properly installed and maintained security systems and how security systems are an effective tool in identifying criminal offenses in progress, as seen in a recent incident. The City of Casper will start accepting online applications for permits beginning February 24, 2023 on the city of Casper’s website. The required fee for commercial and residential properties is $25.00 and must be renewed annually. The permit for the Alarms Companies is $100.00 per calendar year and must be renewed annually.

City of Casper Permit Registration
The Casper Police Department has implemented a new, Online Reporting program which will allow #ourCommunity to easily and efficiently report non-emergency incidents of crime that meet certain criteria. Online reporting allows our citizens to conveniently file police reports according to their schedule, 24-hours a day. Generally, these online reports should be used for non-emergency incidents which meet simple criteria. The incident needs to have occurred within the city limits of Casper, (with the exception of Animal Problems, which encompass Casper, Bar Nunn, and unincorporated Natrona County) and are not to be used when the crime or incident is actively occurring. Each type of online report will have specific requirements associated with that type of incident.
Please read the Form Details and Requirements associated with each category of online reporting before filling out and submitting a report to ensure that the form requirements are met. The Casper Police Department will review your incident and you will receive confirmation that your incident has been received and reviewed.
