Career Week is a wrap! This past week was filled with career readiness opportunities for students, and we want to thank everyone who came to our events. Our networking event on Monday was great, thanks to Brooke Mazurkewich from Greater Dorchester Moving Forward Co-op and Leyong Loro from Enterprise Mobility who attended and gave our students a chance to network with local employers. Wednesday was another big day for us, our Career Fair connected over 200 students with 20 different employers. We love to see students making connections at our winter career fair for their summer jobs! Also on Wednesday, our BComm Young Alumni Panel connected 5 alumni with current students to share their advice and tips on getting a job after graduation. Special thanks to Becca Cotton, Carson Rafuse, Katie Lockhart, Brian Tulle, CPA, and Anthony Maddalena for coming back to campus and joining us!

Our partnership with Dal Innovates is a great opportunity for increased entrepreneurship programming on and off campus. We loved having the Dal Innovates team on campus with us, and are looking forward to continuing this program next year!
🚀 Collide Discover 3-Day Session Recap! We had the pleasure of joining the Mount Allison University team in delivering an incredible 3-day Collide Discover program, bringing together students from MTA, NBCC, NSCC, and Ally Beauty Academy across a wide range of faculties! 🙌 Over three action-packed days, students gained key entrepreneurial skills—like Design Thinking, Reframing Problems, using the Business Model Canvas, and fine-tuning their ideas with Customer Discovery. They also practiced Pitching Through Storytelling to bring their ideas to life! A huge thank you to MTA for leading this amazing session, and to our partners, Ryan Bourgeois (SERSC), Elyse Surette-DiMuzio (MTA Entrepreneur in Residence), and Bethany Deshpande, for their expertise and support. We can't wait to see where these future entrepreneurs go next! 🚀 #CollideDiscover #Entrepreneurship #Innovation #MTA#NBCC #NSCC #AllyBeautyAcademy #FutureLeaders

This weekend we hosted Collide Discover at MtA, a 3-day student entrepreneurship conference, in partnership with Dal Innovates! We had over 20 students from Mount Allison University, NBCC (New Brunswick Community College), Nova Scotia Community College - NSCC, and Ally Beauty Academy Inc attend and learn the first steps to launch their business ventures! This was a great first step for many of our students who are applying to be entrepreneurship interns this summer! Congratulations to all students who completed this 3-day bootcamp and to our pitch competition winners, Nicolas Avendano Chung, Abigail Johanna Austin, and Arnaldo Sepulveda!

Fall 2024 Career Week was a success! Over the course of the week, our office engaged students and professionals in many different workshops designed to enhance their career-readiness skills. A huge thank you to MTA alumni Natalie Lagacé, MBA, Laura Schneeberger, MSc, and Emelyana Titarenko who were panelists in our first Young Alumni Panel, and gave wonderful advice to students about entering the workforce post-graduation! Also, thank you to all the organizations who attended our career fair and chatted with students about employment opportunities in many different job sectors in Canada!
